  1. I'm having the same issue lately with my 2008 Boxster, Tiptronic, 115K Miles. Have replaced the ignition switch but the problem persist, any other suggestion?
  2. Guys: - parts arrived and you don't need to change the keys. - problem not solved after replacing switch, you have any other suggestion?
  3. I took the ring out without the tool, will make a tutorial in PDF and post. Now the most important question: buying a new ignition switch do I need to change my key? Also need to reprogram?
  4. Exact model and year of your car please... Boxster 2008 Base, USD$115K Miles You will need a special tool to remove the outer ring on the ignition switch assembly. It is VW tool T10152. (click to enlarge) T10152.png Thank you for the prompt reply, do you have any suggestion where to get the tool? I have googled a little and have found only in Europe.

  7. Hello Guys, 2008 Porsche Boxster with 116K Miles. It's the second time this happened to me, for the first time I didn't do anything just got back to normal after a few weeks, now the problem is back again: - Turn on the car, drive, everything is fine. - Put the car in Parking, it show on the cluster that is in Parking - When I try to remove the key it gives me a message saying to move lever to Parking Here is a video with the situation: Appreciate any help, I searched around and found nothing similar.   8. Hello Guys! Sorry for the ignorance: where is the the bell housing? I will do the test about the drop test on the cables, can I measure with the ones that goes straight from the battery? It's a brand new one.
  9. I forgot to mention something very important: Car have a flood claim from State Farm which I believe it was just on the paper since the interior is super fine. The only thing replaced after the flood claim was the imobilizer. Where is the located the CPS? Can be changed at home? For the cable, any suggestion how to test it? Thank you a lot for the help so far!!!
  10. Hello there! I have a 1997 Porsche Boxster with only 8K miles, all original and in an extremely good shape. Recently when I'm going to start the car I have no problem, but after it getting the regular temperature operation (around 190F) if I turn of the car it does not turn on again until it cools down. Have replaced all relays already (fuel pump, dme, ignition lock) and nothing seems to correct the problem.
