I just bought a 2004 cs4. Listed as 'complete new engine rebuild' with new clutch and fly wheel. I've driven 100 miles plus so far. Have noticed 0 issues. Had the PPI done at Porsche dealer, they found nothing aside from minor cosmetic (expected). Bought an extended warranty. I'm hoping everything turns out for the best. Any thoughts? -

Appreciate the reply. I'll check the engine, and look for AT. Work was done at ASE cert facility. I asked the Porsche facility that performed the PPI if they felt this would be an issue and they didn't. Hopefully won't have any problems. -
I just purchased a C4S. Engine was rebuilt, based on research I did, looks like from IMS failure. Has new clutch, new fly wheel, etc. Had a PPI done at Porsche dealer. Everything seemed to check out, minus a minor cosmetic issues. Car has 23K miles. Has anyone had any issues with an engine rebuild being covered by an extend warranty. I did buy and extended warranty through my credit union... I'm not anticipating any issues with the car, but I wanted to ask some of you who've had more experience. Any other precautions I should consider? Car looks, feels, and sounds great.
