  1. It comes back. Unfortunately I made an error. The light IS NOT illuminated. I guess that means the previous owner disabled it or something else is wrong. The funny thing is that the car last week passed inspection. In any case, I have to solve this out.
  2. I did that and is illuminated. Then the light goes off when i turn the engine on. I did a repair on the steering wheel, had to add some small rubbers cause the horn was stuck when i bought the car.

  5. Recently bought a 996, used 68K. After a full restore (more than 10K) I got the Durametric cable (Enthusiast) in order to solve an issue with my central locking station. Today I run through all tests and I got on the airbag section the 21Ignition circuit, driver.I'm not getting any light or any other problems, is that normal?

  7. Hello everyone. I recently got a 99 C4 Cab. It's my first carrera and comes after owning for many years a Cayenne S (2004). The car was in a very bad condition when I bought it (left outside for more than 3 years from the previous first owner) and it's gone through major mechanical/electrical and cosmetic repairs (so far more than 10K), including gear box, brakes, new tires, maf, clutch etc. After 2,5 months in repairs the car it's clear from computer checks, but I'm having the following issue (?) when I'm driving. I feel the car as you accelerate light on the front part. Actually the more I go above 50 the lighter it feels. I never gone more than 80 I feel really scared. There is nothing wrong as my mechanic told me and he insists that this how these cars are running (he's also having a 997 and tells me that mine drives better than his). Maybe I used to drive the heavier and more stable cayenne but I believe that this isn't how a porsche should handle. Car is on 68K. Maybe are the shocks? Or just my idea?
  8. Back again, with another question if someone knows of course. So, my issue is with pins 5 and 10 that gets the signal for close or open fuel tank. I tried to call different repair shops in my area and none of them can take care this issue, except of course Porsche dealer that needs the car there for 2 days and they'll charge me $165/h (with an estimation of 5+ hours). I have already replaced the fuel tank actuator (If i call it correct) but didn't solve the 58 error. It's obvious that is the cable between there and the module that is lost in space behind the firewall and I'm unable to checkit. I'd like to know is it possible if I connect (like short) pin 5 to pin 10 or make some other combination i.e. pin 10 + ground to override the sensor in order for the module to see that the fuel cap is closed and be able to have my car lock again?
  9. I'm coming back since I found what's going on and to publish a more explanatory diagram. So, the cable seems to be rusted and I'll try to solve it. The diagram I'm posting is the wiring. The cables we were talking about are coming out from the blue socket. (PS: This is a ultra high resolution file in order to be able to view everything correct)
  10. And to add on this one, about Durametric: As far as I read came to my attention that alarm codes are not clearing out. That means that i.e. the (49) that you mentioned is it an actual problem or not since the Status is: not present?
  11. Thanks for the reply. My issue is that I don't know or understand if the module that we are talking about is the M535 I can locate under the seat. This is a 'closed' module, I can't open it as far as I can see and there are 2 different group of cables that going inside, one in a light blue socket and the other one in the black one. Is this the correct module that everybody talks about? If yes, where can I start looking for the issue with ground? Any help is strongly appreciated. Thanks!
  12. Hi, I've used the Durametric Diagnostic on my 1999 C4 and have a list of fault codes and instructions on what to look for, but where do I find the plugs and pins? Are they located within the M535 module or somewhere else? Any help would be very much appreciated.   14. Hello everyone. I just bought this '99 C4 and I'd like to know if someone knows what's this cable on the photo (it's not from my car). I removed it accidentally and when I tried to push it back something dropped (like a rubber?) and I have no idea what to do now.
