  1. My 04 Cayenne S is throwing 2 codes, no CEL.

    DME:

    907

    Load management operat. on vehicle

    electrical sys./DME control module

    Present

No other codes or engine miss, slight tick from engine??

    Coils?

Other one is the Air suspension, I get the "Faulty/workshop message" on startup now and than. Code is:

    1772

    Signal lead for pressure sensor

Pretty sure I can solve this with the VW Compressor rebuild kit.

  2. Could you tell us how you refinished the bezel for the semi-matt look - it looks great!

I agree, matt look is great! In fact the gloss bezel is only thing holding me back from this kit - If the bezel came in semi-matt look (for black interior) then I would buy this kit in a second! Trieu if you're reading..... ;)

Guys, I used Trieu's trimplate and painted it with Rustoleam's Textured Paint For Plastic in Black, came out PERFECT!

Just out of curiosity... did you have to prime it or clean it with anything first before you sprayed the rustoleam?

I just gave it a light sand to make sure the paint stuck, wiped it down and painted. 2 coats and spary from at least 12 inches away to get the best match.

  3. so, Trieu, how about supplying these ready painted :-)

+1 to that! I don't even think we have Rustoleum here in Australia.

The thing that appeals to me about Trieullionaire's kits is that they come complete: all the hardware, fascias and trim pieces, and odds and ends required to do a professional install. Even if I could find an equivalent brand of spray paint, I haven't the faintest idea about painting and don't want to screw it up :)

Trust me when I tell you guys that ANYONE can paint this.. really, I am no painter and look how great mine looks.

  5. Hi all,

I refinished my trim plate to match the textured plastic on the dash in my 02 996, It came out great!

Looks as close to factory as I think we can get, Now I wish I could get rid of the "Pioneer" wording on the radio.

    hello

how did you have put this please

the old iron is attached with the cup holder

I am sorry, I unsure what you are asking, The mounting does not stop the cup holder from working, The cage mounts below, I used double sided tape to mount the trim.

  6. I just did an install with your kit and I am very pleased.

Since I bought a kenwood, the facia plate was a little roomy. I bought some leather which I fixed with double sided tape. Not happy with the top left, and bottom right corner, so I will likely re-do it. But i like the look and feel of it.

    The leather looks pretty cool!

  7. Deckman-

Good deal. I'll keep an eye out...and if you see a Korean guy in a blue cab looking like he should be pulled over for speeding..then that should be me :)

Also....I was speaking with Mike over at MA Shaw and he said that outside of the factory urethane bumpers, you should always get some sort of fiberglass bumper. He said the reason for that is they will keep much better shape as nobody (outside Porsche) uses the best molds and urethane to make their bumpers. Thus, he said aftermarket urethane bumpers are sloppy to fit and get mushy in heat. He said that his (and some others) have a good mix of fiber and flex resins that allow for some give in the bumper without breaking/cracking. Interesting eh?

    -Joe

I just did the GT3 style Aerorkit II on my Coupe. Mike Shaw flat out told me I would not be happy with a fiberglass bumper so I used a factory Aero front bumper and side skirts with Mike's rear wing, The quality of MASHAWS rear wing is first rate.

  8. Hi all,

Is there a need to change to CDR-220 internal settings when going between Bose or non amplified car? Any output setting since "line outs" are not used.

I sold my old CDR-220 to someone and they claim it sounds tinny but this radio was perfect in my car.

    Thanks!

CDR-220s have a low power line out, so they're barely going to drive a speaker if they're not amped. All CDR-220 systems had an amp in the trunk.

This guy intalled it in a MB500E so who knows. I'm sure he fried somthing.

  9. Hi trillionaire,

Thanks for the reply, but you didn't reply to the question of the BOSE - AVIC interface. I want to continue using the BOSE amp, with the AVIC as the preamp only. Does your kit's harness support this?

    Regards, Luís

Luis, My 02 works perfect with Bose amp and speakers. The wiring should be the same regardless of Bose or non Bose I am told.

    Best,

    Marc

  10. Thanks for this great contribution....

Unfortunately, I think this kit cannot fit a 996 . There is a cupholder under the central vents....

    The cupholder can be removed.

With the kits faceplate the cupholder in the 02+ 996 can be retained, I also have AVIC Z working fine with factory bose amp and speakers, I may paint the faceplate to match the dash or perhaps Arctic silver.

my car is a MY02 996 Coupe (NON -MOST)
