  2. Hello everyone. I'm a new (as in less than 24 hours) Porsche owner. Nothing fancy but I'm proud to say I bought a 1999 996. So far so good, but the radio is locked and the extremely helpful dealer helped me with what was supposed to be the correct radio code. He stressed that if it was the original radio, the code was good but alas it doesn't appear to be so. I hope someone will be able to help me and I greatly appreciate any assistance. Having said that the radio is a CR-220 and the serial # is W5005185. I'm not sure if it matters or not, but it has a CD changer in the front "trunk" Can someone please help? The dealer gave me a code of 8649 but that doesn't seem to work. Thank you!! Matt
