  1. Thank you so much for your replay, apreciate all your help. Will check on what oil has been used before zf as zf was 2nd choice. Before I used different oil that has been advised by gearbox specialist that got me a reconditioned torque converter, after all was in place filled up the gearbox with oil that he recommended and had similar situation but that time after 5 min the car was completely static. That was a year ago, as the Sumer was coming to the end had to back up and wait for this year. So after completely drained everything and yes had 3 cycles going, got a tip from eurocarparts and confirmed by one of the mechanics to go for zf. Big improvement as the car moves a bit even if it's slipping, but it's slipping. Can see that will have to waste zf oil this time and check on one that you recommended. Thank you guys and again for advise, if you have anything more on your mind for me to check- Please, as me and my mechanic are stuck with this girl big way.
  2. Sorry about duplicate add just learning how to use it. So, car is Porsche Boxster 1997 5 gear automatic/triptronic. The oil used is zf6 lifeguard ( light amber colour ) has been advised that this is the best I can have for Porsche high performance gearbox £30/L. In fact on the gearbox id plate stamped zf and managed to find out that same gearboxes used for bmw. Some places have Castrol made or other much cheaper but I was desperate not to make a mistake. Had that car running up in the air for half hr and was going in gears with no truble. On the road 3min 100% and after 5 min I have to rev to 4K rpm to move. It's a big shame as the rest of the car all in good shape now, new rear window, roof fixed alloys refurbished etc. If you have any sudjastians any ideas please let me know. Thank you
  3. Hi, Just registered first time to the forum site in my live. Please help me as I'm desperate now for any answer. Long story short... Purchased the Boxster with faulty gearbox and scruffy all over. Found local expert that deals with auto gearboxes, spend small bag of money as yo can expect, to diagnose problem and repair. Work has Ben complete, reconditioned torque converter fitted, all cleaned new filter fitted. Fitted filled up with very expensive zf transmision oil. Now... The car in the air is running like there is no tomorrow, gears changing smooth, temperatures in norms, everything seems to bee 100% but as soon as it goes on the road 5 min later starts slipping and requires a lot of rev to move not even talking about driving. New torque converter has been checked and all ok. If to drain oil when the car up in the air and fill it up with oil again it will go but as soon as it's on the road will do same. PLEASE HELP
