  1. I am in the process of buying a 2013 Panamera from a non-Porsche dealer (a Bentley main dealer!) here in UK. Before handover to me the car was sent to the Porsche dealer for a full service AND to clear a fault on the PCM (3.1) that reboots every few minutes. Porsche dealer stated PCM u/s and must be replaced but he has subsequently fitted no less that 6 replacement units and in each case he has been unable to code the PCM. He claims to have tried 3 different part numbers. He has received help from Porsche(UK) and Porsche(Germany), although I do not know what this help consists of. The result is that after 7 weeks the car is STILL off the road. So, the dealer has ordered another unit and so it goes on. He knows of one case where 11 units were installed before the fault was cleared. Have I really had 6 brand new Porsche PCM units fitted and all were defective? Does anyone out there know what is going wrong and how I can clear the fault?. Regards, Chris 27 Sep 16
