Afraid you are going to need access to a current PIWIS system to do this.

Yes definitely..i think i will need to find someone who have access to do this through my PIWIS over the net.

BTW i didn’t found a steering lock controller on the steering column! Maybe not equipped on hybrid?!

  2. Hello everyone. Some updates on this issue, i ordered a BCM unit and yesterday i tried to replace it, after coding and writing the data on it, of course the key will not simply operate! It will need the online programming to get it work on the new one. Looking for solutions as i don’t have dealers around.

  3. Hi everyone, today i received the Mosfet and replaced the faulty one on the BCM board, after that i reinstalled in place the unit but unfortunately the same thing happening, the E-power steering pump not activated. The new E-pump is not showing up on Piwis, still not detected. Maybe i have to try the old one after repairing the BCM unit? Will give it a try..BTW i noticed that the electronic steering lock is not working too, can’t hear the click noise when switching the keys, and this unit also not detected by Piwis.

Interesting, thanks for the pics and explanation, i have no experience with it but it seems that this has to do with it, remains the question what is the cause of the faulty transistor? Good job, please keep us posted.

Hi, for now i will firstly replace the MOSFET as it will be more easier and than will give it a try, (searching for the parts). If replacing the BCM module it have to be coded with PIWIS to get it work, i have it but maybe it will ask for imo codes?! The cause could be the battery or a short on wires..

  5. Hello everyone, i need your help please. I own a panamera s hybrid 2012, having problem with E-power steering , not working, ordered new one and replaced it, but no success!! At the bigining the fault was “servotronic unit” that i couldn’t find anywhere! When i removed the old E-pump i thought the control unit is inside, don’t know if i was wrong, that’s why i ordered the new one.

At this moment Piwis can’t see the new one, front-end electronics fault codes c11005(front-end electronics control unit, function restriction), 80400E(front-end electronics control unit, power steering function restriction), 80410F (power steering, limp-home..I appreciate any help. Thank You

  6. Thank You for the information, I've read somewhere that we should read out the settings from old module as Loren said, but mine was broken.. So the only solution is to get IPAS for the PCM VIN to get access to the options. The option that I'm looking for was the compass on the instrument clusters. is there other way to have this option? Thank You

  7. Hi to All, i'm trying to code the replaced PCM2.1 on my Porsche Cayenne turbo 04 with PIWIS, It have a VIN number different than the cars one. All is working, but all modules need updates (amplifier, telephone, cd changer), software ver. 4.1. I don't have the cds...I'm trying to change the PCM VIN to the vehicle's VIN as i have the IPAS codes. When i'm trying to code it an error message displaying! Is it possible that i'm doing it wrong, or it could not be changed? I appreciate any help.

  8. Hi Loren,

I replaced The broken PCM 2.0 to a 2.1, it's working but the other modules as tel. amp, Nav, have different version and need to be updated to earlier version, software shows 4.0.No CDs! I have IPAS codes for my car, but the new PCM showing its own VIN, could it be modified by PIWIS to the cars VIN than using my IPAS codes? or I have to own new IPAS for its VIN? Thank You
