  1. So a little background here. I bought a 2007 base Boxster for a steal of a price with the understanding that the electrics for the soft top did not function. After replacing various parts I've discovered that the control module under the drivers seat had been exposed to water thus frying it. Further inspection revealed that both left and right drain pan had been damaged and attempted to be repaired. Rather than try and repair a repair I'm wanting to just replace the two pans ($90 a side) for piece of mind. My question is has anyone done this or know of a walkthrough or tutorial? I'd hate to jump into this blindly but the dealer has quoted me $1500 to do the install of just the pans. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
  2. If the roof is up and the clamshell is also up there is a good chance something has gone wrong with your linkage. Usually the top and the shell work in unison. If your topmotoris still running after its closed you may have a bad microswitch behind the latch near your rear view mirror
