  1. cayenne s 2004- idling(car in parking) is ok but car is picking lately while we floor the accelerator and sometime dying while driving. If we idle the car at neutral then even at idling is not ok then, rpm is going down & engine stops. same happens when driving, starting is ok but while accelerating it is not picking instantly & if we keep driving , after 200-300 meter rpm is going down & engine dies. Says no fault in tester. Any idea guys ?
  2. This time it was porsche cayenne turbo 2005( mileage 44k kms). Initially during starting at idling RPM is varying by itself(gauge goes up and down), now when we left it at idling, this problem reduces after 30 minutes and once engine heats up, this problem dissappers. Now when we try to restart it sometime it starts normally, but sometime does not starts, although cranks around 3 seconds. battery volts is ok, no faults in PIWIS tester. Checked the fuel delivery rate, it is good, while checking the pressure(we did pressure check at the right passenger seat side by disconnecting the pipe goes to engine side ahead), during the idling it was showing around 4 bar, which i assume is gud as per manual.. but when we were checking for the pressure holding capacity of pressure regulator, it was not gud( as pressure was dropping quickly from 4 bar ), so changed the regulator, checked again but no success this time, pressure was dropping in the same way as earlier, now we did some visual checkups for cracked tubes inside fuel tank, nothing abnormal spotted. Checked misfire, nothing detected on PIWIS tester.. Any idea what to do next???/?
  3. ok.... It means for all cayenne, cayenne s & turbo... the low pressure circuit is same, The only difference appears in high pressure circuit side.. as Cayenne S is equipped with a 3 piston pump having max delivery rate of 180 Ltr/hour & Turbo has a 6 piston pump which has a delivery rate of max 245ltr/hour.
  4. Thanks for this video, explains a lot.... according to this guy, 800ml within 15 seconds, from individual pump........ Is this value is gonna be same for cayenne S , turbo & GTS also ?
  5. Porsche uses return less fuel delivery system.. Any idea how to check fuel delivery rate...? As my seniors told me that it should be around 800 ml within 14 seconds....
  6. Mr. lewisweller thanks for your kind reply.. I have found the problem, yes the drain was clogged, battery was in good shape. & when i did some contunity test, come to know that some of the wire (PSM control unit) were damaged..... Now I have fixed that problem.
  7. I am having some issues related to PSM control unit, as the car i am currently working with was repaired by somebody else, they guys replaced fuel pumps, ABS hydraulic unit, Brake booster..... Initally it was a no- start problem....... I tried my best, fixed some wiring connection from fuel pump side. Than i was able to start the engine...... but when i was trying to move the gearshift lever, it was struck in park, now i checked for brake light switch, i could not find it.... Connected PIWiS tester & come to know that PSM control unit has no signal going..... It was porsche cayenne 2006, the current faults in instrument cluster are " Brake proportioning fault ", and not sensing the brake pedal.... Any idea to share, From my side i will check furthermore & will update.
  8. Hello.... I have problem with porsche cayenne-2006. It was a no-start problem earlier, Actually some wires were damaged nearby to engine fuse-relay compartment side, 1st we fixed them & some other guy also screwed with the wiring from fuel pump side, we fixed that problem. They had already replaced ABS hydraulic unit, brake booster & DME.... We checked all these components, and observed that the gap between the holes of vacuum hose and distance sensor was less in new brake booster, compare to the previous booster...... Everything was o.k, We succeed to start the car, but now gearshift lever was struck into parking........ One fault was also appearing on instrument cluster regarding brake proportioning failure....When pressing the brake pedal, vacuum assist was working properly, but pressing pedal was lot more easier....... I mean it was going down really fast & easily. Also checked for water intrusion, looks ok. there, Any advice on this kindda problem, Please help..?
