  1. Exactly same issue here. What part and where do I buy it for $115? I see prices way above that.
  2. My PCM broke and I bought a used one and replaced it. Most things works just fine but I lost the "individual memory" and "sports chrono" settings etc. It also nags me with an error on startup about the Navigation. The car it came from had a navigation unit. My assumption is it would just be to load the codes with a PIWIS and remove the Navigation unit and CD changer it thinks it has? I had it at a dealer and they say they can't get it to work. If I understand the notes they can't load the codes for some reason. Any ideas?
  3. My Dension 500 works great with bluetooth but you need that blue extra "box" connected.
  4. Do you know which bracket? I get a noise between 2500-2800 rpm. Extremely annoying.
  5. What can this issue be? - Firm brake pedal with engine off. - Soft brake pedal giving way all the way to the floor slooooowly with engine on. - No visible fluid leakage and reservoir level stays same even if I continue pumping the brake over and over. I have tried bleeding the brakes with Motive Power bleeder to see if that helped but no. Is it the Brake booster or something else?
  6. Turned out to be a cracked clutch finger disc resulting in uneven fingers. So when releasing the clutch about 75% of them hit the clutch initially which was causing the juddering.
  7. Today on my way home from work something happened with the clutch. It feels fine/normal when pressing down but when I release it hesitates/judders and the engagement feels weird. Once it's up the car drives fine in gear. The weird thing is that when the engine is off it feels normal when I press and release the clutch. It does squeak a tiny bit though. If I start the engine, in neutral and press/release I feel the judder on the way up.
  8. I tried to remove the panel but the rear seat holder uses a hex bolt of some weird measurement. Metric 2.5 is too big and 2 is too small. Grrr. Do they use US sizes in a Porsche??
  9. How did you replace it? I need to open everything up and see what's wrong with my left rear quarter window. There was a bad noise and now it doesn't work. I can hear an engine noise but nothing happens.
  10. How do you calibrate the top? I have the Smart Top. When opening with the Smart Top the cab closes properly but the lid stops two inches from closed for some reason. If I then use the button it closes properly.
  11. Is this mount easily visible without disassembling anything? I just want to make sure it's in good order.
  12. Is there a way to remove the plastic pieces between the windshield and the leather covered part of the dash? It looks to me like the wrinkle is due to the padding under the leather. If the plastic is removed it seems possible to access and replace the padding. Also, I have a squeak coming from the front right corner plastic piece ...
  13. I have exactly that Porsche Sun shade but it's too late now. Previous owners ... I removed the side vent and speaker to get a better view. It's going to take a lot of work to get the dash out and fix that.
  14. How do I fix this nasty dashboard leather wrinkle the sun has caused? Dash wrinkle
  15. What do you use to mount it back again? I have tried various tapes (3M etc) but none of them stick long term. Some works when it's not so warm but in the summer they just let go. What to use and where to get it?
  16. Got new cap and coolant. Drove 120 miles and it seems to have resolved the problem. But the temperature does go up a bit when driving slow or standing still. I don't trust it yet.
  17. Magnus: Is your coolant tank cap firmly seating on the coolant tank neck? Can you keep screwing the cap down until it "locks" (i.e., does it allow you to turn it until it won't turn anymore?), or does it get tighter and then "skip" and get loose again? If it "skips", then check the top two or three threads on the coolant tank neck and see if they are stripped (chewed up). If the threads are not stripped, and you are actually able to tighten down the cap until it's firmly seated, then buy a new ".01" cap. That's the cheapest step before you move on to another cause. Let us know how you make out. Regards, Maurice. The cap is firmly seated, I'll buy a new one and see if that helps. Thanks for the advice!
