  1. Hi. Update,so I brought and fitted matching used Airbag control unit, cleared all but one code which is 72-16 the Child seat detection leak resistance/short to B+ so I presume the donor part came off a car with child seat ISO fitted. so my new question is, Can a second hand unit be reprogrammed to turn off the child seat warning or can they only be programmed once,i.e when Blank/new??
  2. Hi all. I'm a newbie, recently purchased a 996tt and I'm having an issue with the above tittle. The battery went flat so I replaced it but now I have the Airbag warning light issue. Had the car on a Porsche Diagnostic machine and it says the Airbag control unit is dead/dying. So,I've now replaced with a tested second hand unit, same part number and correct amount of airbags etc. I've started the car up and the light is still on. My question is,do I need to get the Fault codes read/cancelled before the light will go out or should it of gone out on its own if all was good with the system??
