  1. I'm looking for a howto on removing the plastic trim around the fuel filler, as it's an important part of the locking plunger replacement.
  2. OK, so I dug in and had to unbolt a ton of modules. I could pull the old solenoid out but not without breaking the tabs on top and bottom. Now I can't figure out how to fit the new solenoid in without loosening the trim around the fuel fuller. The tabs on top and bottom go between the plastic trim around the filler neck and the sheet metal of the quarter panel. Anyone know how to loosen the trim around the fuel filler? Otherwise I'm just going to cut the tabs off and rely on the screw to hold it in.
  3. You have a 92A? I didn't know any of them had changers in the back. Thanks!
  4. Any hints on what I need to R&R to replace it? Otherwise I'll just start pulling things and let you all know how it goes. Thanks!
  5. Hi, my undertray is looking pretty beat up and I would like to replace it. Part number is 991-575-161-02. I can remove the five screws holding it in but what is unclear to me is whether I can replace this part without removing the bumper and/or inflatable air dam. Ideas? -n.
  6. I don't smoke, but I'd like to retrofit the smoking package for the door and extra 12v socket. I ordered the ashtray module and a harness but would love some advice on where the harness plugs in. I assume under the center console somewhere? Thanks in advance!
  7. Be careful, when I pulled mine to wire the dash cam it took a lot of force because the springs were deformed. When the light came out the springs cut a pretty deep gash into my palm.
  8. My PCM 3.1 is occasionally wonky where it shows a location several miles away from my actual location. I want to check the antenna and possibly replace it. Thanks! -n.
  9. Just got this CEL when pulling away from a stop light at moderate acceleration. Any idea what the probable causes could be? -n.
  10. Success! There's a handy 12v barrel jack for power. Converted this to USB using a converter and CCTV barrel connectors and now theres an iPad there.
  11. I'm looking for a heat shield that comes riveted to the front exhaust support (center muffler) on a 2011 997 Turbo S. See attached for pics. The support is stamped with 997.113.027.31 but when I order the part the riveted heat shield isn't included, nor does the part number for the heat shield appear in any catalog. Is this a part that is no longer necessary? Thanks in advance.
  12. Hey, thanks. This doesn't help because I just need to be able to physically remove the device without damage. An installation manual or upgrade manual for from the PRSE to the 2nd generation PRSE would be super helpful.
  13. Hi all, Anyone know or have access to the installation docs for the Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment system, circa 2011? I know there's an updated version that is available as a retrofit, but I can't find documentation or TSBs for either setup. I'd like to remove the PRSE and use the power for an iPad holder. Thanks! -n.
