Hi, Has anyone got the part number for the spoiler switch for a RHD 02 996 (switch fits on the right hand side). The part number in Scousers guide is for the pre 02 spoiler switch (glossy finish).

Scouser, just to let you know your instructions were spot on. I removed the cluster and fitted the microphone - remembered to use the blu-tac on the end of the screwdriver trick to get the screw back in behind the microphone.

Loren, Just to clarify what you just said - do you think that either of these wires in the phot may be the reverse wire? Do you know what component it is that they are plugged in to in the photo? Are you saying, then, that I will probably find them behind the passenger seat in my car? The wires look more blue with black stripe (they are a light blue, almost grey colour)

Loren, or anyone else, are any of these wires the reverse wire sensor? They are the only blue/black wires I can locate anywhere under any seat - I have a RHD car. The photo is taken from behind the passenger seat (which would be the drivers seat in a LHD car!) Please help!

Could anyone help me to remove the instrument cluster cover so that I can install the microphone for the hands free kit. I have read the TSb on installing the hands free kit but it doesn't help too much. Any help much appreciated.

I am trying to fit a microphone in the designated place in the intrument cluster. I can get the grill off, but there seems no way of routing a cable anywhere. Does anyone know how to get a cable through and out the bottom? Does anyone have any experience with directional microphones as to which ones are best for hands free kits to reduce echo?

Hi, Thanks for that. I actually removed the cable that connects with a spade connector to the housing which did the trick.

Hi, I have just changed out the standard Becker radio for a kenwood sat nav system. However, when I alarm the car now it gives a quick blast of the horn indicating that not all alarm circuits are functioning. I believe this is because the alarm monitors the stero, and it has changed. Does anyone know how to get round this?

Percymon, I live about 20mins away from Prestige Audio, and I will be getting them to do the speaker installation, but I just wanted to work out exactly what I want them to install for me! Prestige Audio have an excellent reputation, and they recently did Elton John's fleet of cars!

Hi, I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to remove the side pieces from the lower centre console and the rear centre console. Any help much appreciated. I'm guessing they just pull off, but I want confirmation before I do some damage!

Hi, I am about to install a CD changer, so I need to run the cables from the stereo to the trunk. What panels do I have to remove to do that? Are there any guides about that will show me what I need to do?

Hi Loren, Thanks for that. The TSB states that it can only be installed on a car with the sound package. I only want the door panels so as I can install my own speakers. Is there any reason why these door panels will not fit my doors (i.e. without existing speaker grills, but with pocket)? Thanks very much for all your help.

Hi, Does anyone have any information on the Porsche high-performance audio system as shown here: http://www3.uk.porsche.com/isapi/english/g...+communications Can the door speaker housings be bought separately from the rest of the system? Can they be retrofitted to doors without existing speakers (i.e. with door pocket)? What speakers do they house? I think it is 2x5" per door but not sure on this. Is there a TSB on how to fit them in to the doors? Thanks, Matt

Hi, Can anyone tell me what parts I will need to fit the door speaker enclosures/grills to a car that doesn't have them (i.e. its got the pockets) Any help much appreciated.
