Just to rule out the obvious, you have presumably tried a selection of other CDs to ensure that it's the player at fault?
Is the CD itself hot when it's ejected?

Thanks for your response. Yes the CD itself is at least warm, not really hot. But its stuck in place and will not advance. Soon goes back to the radio. Sometimes cd will not eject until car is restarted.

My 05 955 base cdr-23 will only play a cd for about 15 mins. It goes to stop and back radio. I don't have a clue.

Normally all windows are up. Today down and I clearly heard the same suspicious clunk I hear when I start off from a stop or slow down. Any ideas what I need to have checked first? Thanks everyone!

Hello Guys
I'm really new at this so bare with me plz. I will catch on soon. Ok ? In the last couple of weeks I had to change fuel brands. Now I get bump and hesitation. Only drive +- 500miles a week,is it ok to put an additive in the 3.2? Thanks.

Hold the odometer reset button on while turning on the key (you don't need to start the engine).
The display will say Service Reset.
Press the Reset button on the windshield wiper stalk.
Reset complete!!!

I hope this applies to 05 base models. I have the same issue, also a brake workshop warning and I had them redone including new brake sensors.
CDR-23 will not complete a cd before stopping in the same place.

I have a collection of purchased cds as well as some I made. Does not matter, either a length of time ,or a particular spot on any cd ,and it stops. Reverts back to radio until the car is restarted. And that's not always successful. I bought one off eBay which I'm sending to Becker to get past PROTECT. Wish me luck!
