  1. Change Struts, Springs, shocks and Rear Sway Bar this weekend drink.gif

Quite a job w/o Lift, and hot humid weather, but glad it's done.

Anyway, in the tear down, One item missing, that caused a little issue with top of strut nut becoming rusted and some watering getting in unprotected area near Left Side Strut and Wiper motor/linking

Part the was missing was the Round Plastic black Strut Cover.
In between the three nuts holding the strut Top hat in place.

I've looked through the PET numerous time to no avail, If some one could point me to right page or part number it would be appreciated.
I want to replace it so as to not letting water in in the future.

I will post pic's of car done and on the ground wink.gif in a day or two.

Not a job for the faint of heart, but worth it by all means.

  2. I'm Looking to buy a used H&R sport setup model 29513 made for standard 996 coupe. Catalog says use model 29513-2 for a Targa/Cab chassis.

Called H&R and got a nice lady on the phone, but she wouldn't really answer my question, other than standard answer of we recommend 29513-2.

What would be the differences other than -2  ? 150# weight difference in models. Will it fit rear shock/tower the same ? uses same shock so I'm thinking yes.

I'm thinking it's the rear weight difference of the Targa/Cab, but should work /fit just the same.

    Anyone has this knowledge?

  3. i think what you're describing is called 'Aluma-look'.

Eric over at Bumperplugs will know that paintcode. He sells products in that color.

i think his email is Eric at Bumperplugs dot com.

    http://www.bumperplugs.com

He won't tell you. I've asked, But accoding to the Dupont /Spies Hecker chart

Aluma Look is " ALU 03 EFFECT " and is listed for Cayenne trim etc.

Code is 4W9 and Dupont stock code is X1070
