  1. Hi there - I know this has been discussed extensively ....so my apologies upfront if there is a better place to start searching for this... Two months ago the airbag and seat belt lights went on. I replaced at the time a few rear light bulbs from stock to led...and I do think that this might be the issue. I did not try to replace them back to stock and see what happens so I thought that someone might have happened through the same process in the past. Any thoughts or ideas on where to start from? I am not planning to take it to the shop until I can do some research and hopefully permanent fix myself...and learn from this beautiful piece of machinery!! Thanks in advance and all the best! I am sharing one pic with my 964 C4 cabrio
  2. Hi there - I am new to Renntech. I bought a 964 cabrio manual with 105k miles on it last April. I love this car. The way it looks and the handling...amazing! I’ve done a few things to it maintenance wise like changing oil, oil filter, air filter and cabin filter. I would like though to learn more so that I can do more preventive maintance myself. I live in Miami area so I would love to meet other enthusiasts in the area willing to spend some time sharing our passion and willing to help out others working on their cars. Let me know if there is someone around interested!

  4. Amazing work! It is always nice to see a 911 back to life!! Well done!
  5. Thank you both Kdgic and Loren! I will stick to my basic OBD2 scanner and see what I can learn from it. For sure nothing compares to Durametric but I am not planning to invest that much money now. I will give it a try and see how it goes and what I can learn from it. Nowadays these new OBD2 scanner are pretty good to be honest and give you a bunch of very useful data.
  6. Is this something I would find in the enthusiast’s companion Manual? I want to get one of this soon so if that info is there... problem solved! Thanks in advance!
  7. Thanks JFP! Searched a bit online but I couldn’t find anything ...probably there is a lot of knowledge in this forum about “normal” values and % for the most common readings in OBD2 in 996s...and that would save me extra bucks for other stuff (Porsche of course!)
  8. Hi there - new to this forum! I recently bought a OBD2 scanner but I don’t know how to interpret live data from the tool. I know this is a complex field and I don’t pretend to be an expert. That being said, having some sort of reference in terms of normal values / reading would prove to be extremely useful in preventing issues etc...Is there a book / Manual where to find these values for a 996 C4S? your help would be more than welcome! Thanks in advance
