  1. #1- ISSUE-My Boxster has 33,000 miles -It's an 02'...I just took it to my dealer for an oil change and some exterior issues...3 months later and @ 1500 miles I find out my rear main seal is leaking. #2- Is this a normal time frame for a gently used vehichle to have this issue ?? #3-What should I expect to pay to have a dealer repair this ?? #4- The dealer tells me it's a $33 dollar seal and over $1500 in labor. Must remove the tranny to access?? WTF? any info would be much appreciated...
  2. The battery was replaced in April. The car lights up fine, cranks for a few seconds and off I go. I am going to put some fuel cleaner through this weekend. ( which one is the best to use?) And I will let you know if that makes any diff. Any other thoughts Thanks Oh and there seems to be a soft and quiet grinding/rubbing out of my right rear brakes. Should I get the rotors turned? I replaced an ignition switch about 4 months ago after the key was locking ...everything went well. However now I am getting a delayed start...turn the key 4-5 times and it starts...This morning - NO GO!...any ideas???!!!
  3. Thanks Fig for your comment! First off what wheel/tire package is it?...second -Dude there is NO way that takes a sudden bump without totally trashing the undercarriage- or not?
  4. I just switched out an ignition switch 4 months ago...Now I am getting a periodic no start. The switch/key feels perfect but the ignition seems as though it has a short? One time it works the next it does'nt. It has started eventually every time but obviously something is afoul. I am about as good a mechanic as Paris Hilton is an actress...WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?? Thanks
