I was out for a drive. It started to rain and my roof wouldn't go up. I had to manually put it up. When I got home I found the parking brake switch faulty. I replaced it and checked the fluid. The fluid was low so I topped it up. I tried to use the switches on the dash and the gear above me tries to move a little but that's all. If I extend the latch out and then hit the button it will fully close. But it still won't open. I hooked up my PIWIS to calibrate and I'm getting Function inactive, end position not reached. I metered the 3 micro switches in the latch and they are all testing fine. Any ideas what to do next?

Does anyone know how to enable the turbo boost gauge on a diesel with a PIWIS II? I have been looking through all the menus and I can't find it. I know of someone that enabled it with a Launch X431 V+

I found the part number online. It's not discontinued. The dealer is lying. I'm phoning mine to confirm tomorrow. Then I'm calling Porsche's head office.

They are only changing the solenoid and the shoes as far as I know. But the service manager said the parts were discontinued. Not out of stock.

Oh my it just keeps getting better. Porsche of London is saying they have all the brake parts but get this. The service manager said there is no brake shoes available in world. Sad thing is this SUV was always serviced there. How did all this stuff fail.

Well they got it running. New BCM, new key, new key switch. Now the rear solenoid for the parking brake is locked. They are replacing the brakes too. Hopefully I will see it soon.

Still not running. They received the bcm the other day but didn't have it installed yesterday. I'm going to call tomorrow. I know the dealer that sold me the vehicle is pissed off. I'm waiting to see of he is just going to refund me. I'll update again soon.

They checked the battery. Changed the key switch. They are checking wiring and the bcm next. Will know more next week and update.

I don't even know if I want it back. I'll know more tomorrow afternoon. I will post the next update when I get it. Is there an inherit problem with the electrical on the 92A?

Update. It wasn't the ignition switch. Now they are tracing out the wiring for a broken wire. If nothing is found then they are going to try a new bcm.

Absolutely! I don't know if I'm on the hook for it. I paid for the suv but didn't sign the acceptance when it hit Winnipeg. The ship back was $1200. Then the repair and $800 to ship back.

I couldn't get the cover off to get at it. But I tried to jump it while it was in but it didn't work. I ended up shipping the SUV back to Ontario. It's going to Porsche there tomorrow. Hopefully its something simple then ship it back.

Checked all the fuses and the pyro this morning. Still no go. They couldn't get it off the carrier to back to the dealer in Ontario it goes. Someone told me they had the exact same problem and it was the ignition switch.

Here’s my dilemma. Two days ago the dealer shipped the cayenne I bought. The driver drove the suv onto the carrier and even started it yesterday. Today when it got there it wouldn’t start. We boosted it and it even changed the battery. It will not start. The electric parking brake light is blinking on the dash and on the switch. When I turn the key nothing happens. The stereo, signals, interior lights, locks and unlocks all work. The remote fob works too. But the horn, headlights, and the heater controls do not work. Could the pyro link be blown?

It's the 4th stock on the steering column that controls the on board computer. A lot of the 911's didn't come with it. -

I'm going to do the OBC hack and I was wondering. Do I have to buy the 4 switch stalk or can I buy the obc stalk and attach it to my 3 switch stalk? -
HI! Sorry I took long to reply. Thanks for the great info. My girlfriend is going there to visit family there, so she said her brother will go look at with her. This will be just a toy. I am looking to sell my CTT and get a Cayenne diesel for a daily driver.

Thanks! It's a nine hour drive to see it so I have arrange when I can go this week. I'll get all the reports on it before I go out there. I'll look at the fluids and for leaks. I wish it was a turbo but they are just outrageous priced.

I have a 2006 CTT and I love it. So now I'm hooked on Porsche. I am looking at 1999 911 Carrera convertible. The IMS, clutch, and flywheel has been replaced. It has about 140,000 km's. I really like it. Is there anything I should look for when I go see it?
