  1. One of the best users this site has! So incredibly helpful :)

  2. Did my conversion back in August. No electrical or overheating issues thus far. My installation did not require any alignment. Yes, it did improve visibility One of the best mods I've done to my box thus far :)
  3. Any thoughts on how to repair the foam water channel under the clamshell? Is that a replaceable part? Any part # would be helpful too. When my caps shattered (2003?!) the rods rotated into the foam and left a nice crack where rain always finds its way into the cockpit. Thanks!
  4. Both of my caps exploded. I'm getting ready to buy these but I noticed when I was diagnosing the car, that the push rod arms are waaaaaay tight and have been pushed down where I can't move them. Is there a trick to freeing them? Or how about a quick How-To? Thanks guys :)
  5. Hey everyone, My convertible top is stuck in the up position. The motor runs when I hit the button, the clamshell comes up etc... but the top itself doesn't move. The top is disengaged from the latch above and the windows come down. And it can be moved manually. Where should I look first? Is it that both cables snapped??! Or both plastic pieces broke? My dad took it out for one day, gave it back with a broken top and a flat tire hehe... I hope he at least had fun in it ;) Thanks for your anticipated guidance
  6. Well guys, I just got my kit in the mail today. I will be installing it this weekend. Look for a writeup with pics coming soon :)
  7. try warrantydirect.com. Quite a few porsche owners recommend them
  8. Thanks! I went ahead and did some more research and settled on a HID kit with lifetime warranty on the ballasts as well as the bulbs. There is a sale going on for Apexcone HID kits. http://www.xenonexpert.com/apexcone_sale.html Thought I'd share :) less than $200 for the kit including shipping and the lifetime warranty. Thank you everyone for your posts here. You saved me $1,100 by convincing me not to get the Litronics. I'd still love to see pics of HIDs next to a set of Litronics though.
  9. I'd love to see these HIDs side-by-side against Litronics. One of my headlight bulbs burned out :) so I have a perfect excuse to follow in your steps. After having these in for this amount of time, have you experienced any problems? Thanks
  10. I had a similar problem... I think I paid $26ish for a new lock socket... Cheaper than buying new lugs all the way around.
