  1. hello, I recently imported a 996 C4 from japan to France (year 2000). and yes i am french guy asking support here ... I used to live in Boston and got used to this forum, and you are definitively hosting more expertise that any french forum... unfortunatly, i suffered the classic wet "under-seat- worst-location-ever" alarm module issue .... I carefully cleaned and dried alarm module but still facing some issues which might not be fully linked to a faulty module maybe. the car start, the windows and radio work, so the module is working somehow. but I still do not have alarm (remote not working), central locking or internal lights (but trunk light is working). Everything else seems to work properly. here are the default from ECU read by my tool , which I would cluster in two separate issues: issue 1: - 46: short B+ at a servo motor - 58 tank servo motor not energized despite realy activation Issue 2: - 33: passenger compartment monitoring sensor - 49: K lead - 25 terminal 86s not detected tried to clear all code with ecu tool but they came back. I was able to clear airbag code and a bunch of other ones, so i suspect my tool will also be able to clear alarm fault. i think that issue 2 is linked to the problems explained here above. I suspect that 49 is linked to the fact that battery was unplugged. i tried to look at connections, cleaned them using an Electrical Contact Cleaner. I checked wiring as well as much as i could . i checked all fuses, including the small one at CLU: all good I carefully reviewed the forum and ordered a new passenger compartment monitoring sensor and a new ignition switch, as both might cause some related issues. do you have any other guess I could track ? what about the issue 1 ? thanks for your support ...
