  1. I've got 4 Advan Neovas en route from Tirerack as we speak. Should be on tomorrow or Friday. I'll let you know my impressions.
  2. Apart from a full replacement adjustable setup using PSS9s (or similar), does it make sense to replace the M030 springs with H&R or Eibach? Does anyone know if the H&R/Eibach springs are a good match for the US M030 dampers? ROW M030 seems foolish given the price and the fact I've already got the same front & rear bars. Searched the archives, got lots of opinions on H&R + Bilstein, PSS9, and ROW M030, but nothing on simply replacing the springs in the US M030 setup.
  3. Thanks TP -- if you haven't seen it, probably no one has. Probably just random junk. Thanks for looking at it.
  4. Found this foam rubber cylinder on the driveway near the rear of my 2003 986S. Not 100% sure it came from the car. Any ideas?
  5. Loren, would it be possible to tell from TSB what Mobil 1 weight would be recommended for "severe duty" (oil changes more frequently due to lots of city driving, more cold starts, etc.) in a warm weather climate. Failing that, is the TSB available online anywhere?
  6. According to the instructions (which are in German, so I might be missing something), the relay module is plug & play. You take out the old control module and put the new one in its place. I don't think it's necessary with the TechArt piece to re-wire the speed sensor. To answer your questions, yes, I am 'tapping' it. The button will retract the top with the handbrake unengaged (car either in motion or stopped), but the button must remain pressed the whole time. I think the BahnTech is a different design. Appreciate your feedback though. I may end up going with BahnTech unless TechArt comes thru with some answers soon. Do you know if the BahnTech works with MY2003?
  7. Does anyone have info on Porsche's currently recommended oil weights for warm weather climates? I believe it used to be 5W-30 but seem to recall seeing a post on PPBB about a TSB that suggested a lower viscosity (0W-30). Unfortunately, I can't seem to locate the post in the archives on PPBB.
  8. I just installed the new TechArt cabrio module (2003+), which is advertised to allow operation of the top without the handbrake (up to 25mph) and one-touch auto up/down. The handbrake hack seems to work, but the auto up/down is not -- I have to keep the button depressed the same as before, with the stock module. If anyone here has the new module, can you confirm that the auto up/down feature is working for you? I'm trying to determine if I have a defective component, and I haven't heard anything yet from TechArt or my reseller.
