  1. I have a 2007 997.1 turbo with 12.000 miles. The car is warranty until September this year. Since I got the car on May 2009, I have had the same problem with my tiptronic. Sometime during shifting from the 2 to the 3th gear only, the engine rev up without engaging the 3th gear and then it finally engage hard... really hard... I don't have this kind of problem when I drove at high rpm's or on any other gear change, only during smooth driving... Anybody had tiptronic problems like these ? The solenoid valves had been changed by Porsche already, and the problem remains the same. Can you help me? Should I ask them to replace the complete transmision under warranty? Thanks,
  2. Loren, You are the Master ! Thanks a lot
  3. Last week right after refueling I had a CEL. It was code P2190. It was removed by Porsche and yesterday again, ten minutes after refueling I had code P2188. Can someone help me on the possible causes of this CEL codes? Thanks,
  4. Do you know if the new pdk steering wheel with paddles can be retrofited to a 997.1 Triptronic car? Thanks.
  5. Thanks, as always. You are so helpfull for all of us. If you ever come to Spain, let me know.
  6. Loren, Do you have that part number of the touch Up Paint in Midnight Blue Metallic ? Is there also an aerosol spray ? Thanks.
  7. Loren, Are the X51 and the PSE compatible ? I say this because I think that the exhaust manifolds are new ? Correct ? Another question is labor to do the retrofit. How many hours can I expect ?
  8. Loren, I am going to replace the standard door sills in my C2 Cab. with the stainless steel ones. My question is how to remove them ? Thanks, Antonio.
  9. Loren, Could you email me those TSB about noises in the hard/soft top of 996 cabrio ? Thanks, Antonio
  10. Loren, As a result of the 12 laps at the circuit that I mentioned, the dealer has changed the four set of pads, and THE FRONT ROTORS, that were absolutly ruined due to overheating !!! Is this a Porsche ? I could not believe it.
  11. I am thinking about changing the stock pads on my 03 C2 Cab. ( They are nearly useless in track use. Last time at jarama circuit in Madrid the brakes suffer a severe fading after 5 laps.... and its a 2 mile circuit with no more than 3/4 hard braking points ). My question is : are the pagid blues the same as the Porsche Tequipment Competition pads shown on the Porsche web ? Which one do you recommend Loren for street/track use ( 80/20%) ?
  12. What kind of rear tyre life can we expect in a 2003 GT3, with 20/30% track time usage ?
  13. Loren the car has 6000 thousand miles. It is the second time that i take it to the dealer. First time they said that the pedal was going down too much and they changed the hydraulics ? Buy gt remains the same the pedal goes down a lot yes the abs enters too soon and you do not feel that instant and hard braking power
  14. Loren, I am going to ask the dealer to make a full revision of the braking system. The car just does not break with the stoping power that I was enjoying in my previous Porsche Boxster S. I think something is wrong there. I want them to look at the whole system. My Question is : What are the components that I should ask to look at ? Antonio.
  15. I have just installed the short shift from Porsche. It really makes a big difference from stock. Shorter, and it is really much much faster to shift. :clapping: But my question Loren is if I can expect the shifter to become softer with usage, because it is a bit heavy and harder than previous. Thanks, Antonio.
  16. Thanks a lot Loren. I can´t stop saying how useful is this site. CONGRATULATIONS Again.
  17. Yes Loren that´s right. The plastic/leather panels in the rear part of the interior car near the rear seats. Thankyou again.
  18. Does anyone know how can I remove the rear side panels on a 03 996 Cab. Thankyou.
  19. What is the part number for the short shift ? Do you know if it is available here in Europe?
  20. Loren, Do you have an idea of what should be the cost of upgrading the brakes of my 03 C2. Cab to either the Turbo or the new Gt3 brakes ? ( I have 18" rims ) Thanks.
  21. Hi again, Do you know if touch-up paint in savannah beige is available from Porsche or any other source ? Last week I scracthed a bit my central console painted in savanna. Thanks, Antonio.
  22. Just back from a tryp and I got 295 Km/h in my 03 C2 Cab. The car was very very solid at that speed and I still think it could have gone to 300+
  23. My car has already 3000 miles. At what milage can I expect to have the car fully broken in and get optimun performance?
