  1. good day to a all I have a problem with my 3.2 2005 cayenne s the other day it was showing a generator/battery fault on the way home the engine just cut out and I coasted to a stop the AA came out and tried to jump start the car with no effect having got the car home I have changed the battery and the generator but the car will not start (no clicking of starter) upon closer inspection on the dashboard the transmission was showing as in drive but the leaver is in park so the car thinks it is in gear I read the fault code and the code P0864 TCM communication error I can clear the code but as soon as the ignition is turned off then back on the code is there and it shows as it is in drive does any one know if you can manually rest the tcm many thanks nicholas
