  1. Cheap CAT's can (and mostly) are very bad. My guess is get everything to stock again. Tunes can be good, but if they are not, they can cause all sorts of mayhem.
  2. Have you checked your accesory drive belt ? My Cayenne S had a whining noise like you described (altough it was also when stationary)when the belt tensioner was in bad shape. My next guess is the transmission/converter. Can you locate where it is coming from ? Any error codes ?
  3. Hi I'm Max from Germany. I drive a 2005 Cayenne S. I have registered on this forum to share some of my knowledge about problems / solutions for this car and also to help me fixing it. We own it since 2010 and it now has 190k Km and it only had some small issues since out of waranty. Now it has a slighlty vibrating mirror (only the mirror itself not the housing). And the dampers for the rear trunk lid are weak, which to my knowledge is a pain to fix... Here's a picture...
