  1. My iPhone 3G works great with the 997.2 PCM. I also use an old iPod (20gb 3rd generation) in the armrest for music, with no issues once I got the cable with only the DIN and iPod connectors (no USB tang). iPhone hooks up quickly, and loads the phone book into the PCM.
  2. I have an old Gen 3 iPod and it works great with the Porsche cable that has only the iPod connector and the DIN/S connector (no USB tang). This cable was provided by the selling dealer after the originally provided cable with the USB tang as well as DIN/S tang did not work consistently with the old iPod. That cable did work fine with an iPod Touch, however. The PCM interface and Navigation system is as good as any I have seen as to function.
  3. Thanks for the responses. I am fine with the color of the logo. I found a can of spray paint in a matte silver at AutoZone and painted my license plate frame, and it is a very close match to the logo. I have always used a simple plate frame, but neither the gloss black or chrome frames available looked right on the back of the 997.2 C4S. So I solved my issue as I trim out my new street car by painting an old frame and screw covers to match the logo color. My GT3 has the overpriced "paint logo to match" option, which I have never really cared for. But it came with the pre-owned car.
  4. Loren, Thanks! Any idea where I could get a close match on a can of spray paint to paint a license plate frame? I don't want to invest in a perfect match body shop paint job. Great forum for technical information. Tom
  5. Does anyone know what color paint is used on the more or less silver color rear logo "Carrera 4S" on a 997.2 Artic Silver car ? It is a sort of matte finish, perhaps titainium in color, similar or the same as the front grill vent vanes. TIA
