  1. Porsche also designed the mechanism to "hand-grenade" along with the window regulators ...(if you force it) . hell .. if a rear window cable slips as you are putting top-up or top-down , the sync is OFF and ...CRaK! 🤪
  2. Hallo Mr. Goode ... I replaced a few .. just did my 2003 996 ...send some pics..there is 2 variations ... I can show you mine , Im taking it apart 1/2-way to repair some fabric & rubber
  3. Hi guys ... Just watched the Vids above .. I replaced the Clutch Slave Cyl. on mine and on my friends a while back .. AND sometimes on both 996 and 997's the PLASTIC CAP on the end of the slave cyl. cracks or breaks off , and when it breaks off its possible the "Metal on metal chirping Noise" could be the push-rod resting on the clutch fork inside the housing... pull out the slave cyl and check it out ..replace it ASAP if the plastic cap is gone !
  4. Hi There .... I had a similar problem with my 996 .. it was a very small Micro-switch that was loose (still functioning) that was on the "clamshell" assembly in the rear. I noticed it when I was topping off the fluid on the hydro-pump motor.... I would also check the cables , Its a little different than mine but works the same.
  5. Hi everyone!.. along with doing these fixes .. has anyone ever had to align the soft-top/linkage ?? I have to eliminate the leaks on mine ..just replaced my regulators n' such
