  1. I’m replacing my interior carpet due to water damage. There are two areas giving me trouble - removing the cruise control cable on the top of the accelerator pedal and removing the rear side panels to pull out the carpet from the rear. the accelerator pedal has two cable (since it’s a 99 C2) the bottom one goes to the engine and the top one is for the cruise. I need one removed to put the carpet in and can’t figure out how to disconnect the cruise cable. A link to rear panel removal would be appreciated. BTW, tanking out this carpet is a real PITA. If my car didn’t flood up to the floors I’d leave it be. thanks!
  2. I'd like to remove my current leather e brake grip (circled in red). Not the entire unit. Does the leather grip just slide off or is it bolted in some way? Seems like its on very tight. Thanks in advance for any assistance!
  3. My right rear inner CV boot had a puncture and I’m in the process of replacing the joint and boot. The circlip has been removed however I cannot remove the CV from the shaft. It there an additional step or do I have to force it using a mallet etc.
  4. Ok, so I sourced the parts necessary to make the repair; suspension support, sway bar, brackets & bolts, new bushings and end links. I’d like to repair in my garage. In looking at the layout I believe I can remove the control arms, wheel hub and driveshaft as one unit. The shock can probably be unbolted from the bottom only. Probably best to remove caliper and rotor reduce the weight of the assembly. As the repair manual doesn’t cover replacement, any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also the picture is of the left side, I’m working on the right!
  5. Glad that this is a suspension part that is replaceable without dropping the engine. I may source a used one.
  6. Alternatively can the rear subframe be replaced without removing the engine and transmission? If not repairable I can replace it with this:
  7. The rear sway bar mount on the left side of my 99 C2 is broken. What’s the fix for this? Do I need to replace the entire subframe? Looks like I’m in for a fun project. 😕
  8. Perhaps I can just copy a disk if I can find someone from the Northeast running PCM 1
  9. I just acquired a 99 C2 Tiptronic. As I sort through the car I'm curious about the OEM PCM that the car has. Seems to function with the exception of the map disk. I need one for my current location - New England. Are these old PCM version 1 (with tape deck) any good? Also where can I get a disk for my region. I'm looking to keep the car stock and will keep the unit if functional. Thanks! CD
