  1. Could someone please advise me the pinouts for Halogen (NOT XENON) headlight connector in a UK Cayenne 9PA please thanks
  2. Afternoon all, firstly let me start off by acknowledging these are cheap aftermarket DRL LED headlights so please don't use this thread just to slag me off for at least trying to get these working. I am trying to fit them to a UK Cayenne which yes is RHD but I will actually be using them in the EU which I spend a lot of time in Spain and Portugal so the beam is not an issue. My problem is that whilst everything seems to work, the exact bulbs that should illuminate at the correct switch don't I have the basic Halogen headlights - NOT XENON On my attached photo you will see that with the stock headlights, light switch position 1 turn on the small sidelight. Light switch position 2 turns on the small sidelight AND the TOP H7 bulb. Then if i push forward the indicator lever that turns on the bottom two bulbs which I also think are H7. Firstly is everyone else's the same setup? If thats all correct now let me explain what happens with the new SONAR DRL LED headlights...... Light Switch position 1 : WHITE LED lights strip illuminates Light Switch position 2 : Nothing changes - no further light comes on at all - I would have expected the fake projection bulb H7 to illuminate but it doesn't Push forward the indicator stalk : Both the fake projection bulb illuminates H7 as well as the smaller H1 one very bright bulb. No matter what I try on both sides the larger fake projection H7 bulb will not illuminate until I goto High Beam with the indicator stalk pushed forward but then both the H7 AND H1 illuminate. This cannot be right surely?? I have checked the pinouts as best I can at this stage and it seems the stock H7 top bulb are in a different place to what I see on the new SONAR DRL LED headlights. In fact the pinout actually goto a small cable that plugs into two brown cables and goes to something at the bottom right of the fake projection bulb. Has anyone on here in the UK ever fitted these and if so did you encounter this issue??

Happily changing my rear brake discs and pads when then found previous owner managed to ruin the thread for the calliper bolts on the rear wheel hub and used some kind of glue to keep the nut in!! . Had to end up replacing the rear wheel hub. Now parking brake issues - it disengages (I can feel it as the car jolts forward when released) so mechanically its working but the **** dash light wont go off and bleeps constantly when driving I know its not the foot pedal gas strut as that was replaced a year ago and its worked perfectly fine until now the wheel hub has been changed From what I can see the 9PA 2004 Cayenne does NOT have electric parking brake so I'm guessing its just mechanical adjustment thats needed but my question is where and how? Do I need to adjust at the wheel hub using the screw driver on that cog behind the disc window? And If so what am I looking for to correct this? OR is an adjustment needed at the parking brake handle? And if so what? Thanks in advance all
  4. UPDATE: so it’s easier to actually goto the relay carier Blue Block PIN3 done this and coded with PIWIS - all good and working thanks everyone

I'm about to do the finishing part of the Cruise Control retrofit and so need to get to PIN A38 on the DME connector Does anyone know the best way to open the DME connector to allow access to the pins? How do you open it without breaking anything? Also How do you get pins out of the connector block?
  6. Can I just confirm that the cable does indeed go to the relay carrier (photo attached to make sure) Blue connector Pin 3 (circled Ref) and then direct to the stalk Pin 5? reason I ask is that some say it goes to the DME Pin A38! Which one is right??

I notice that some of you are connecting a wire from pin5 to the DME but then you mention you already had a cable in pin A38 on the DME! that being the case surely the small cable look you buy as part of the kit only needs plugging to the back of your steering stalk block?? No need to run a long cable to the DME? or am I missing something here?
  8. So anyone know best way to unclip these coloured blocks in the relay carrier without breaking them?

Hi all so my alarm siren is dead (probably water caused it) and so have replacement - however the actual job of replacing is crazy i know the siren resides under the fuse/relay carrier on the U.K. passenger side. But actually getting to it is almost impossible so I can see that you need to unclip the fuse and relay boards and then somehow Unclip those coloured blocks which then allows you to remove the top half of the relay carrier, move cables out the way and then finally remove the bottom part of the carrier to finally get access to the siren question - has anybody actually ever achieved this? Anyone have video walkthroughs or workshop repair details ? in particular info on the removal of the relay carrier box is needed - how to unclip those coloured blocks and how to just get the cables out the way someone somewhere must have done this as it’s so common - just need some info of how to get that **** relay box moved
  10. Ok cool and one last thing MOBIL IS Esso in the UK so the MOBIL ATF 3309 should be good correct??
  11. Ok so the MOBIL ATF 3309 should be ok correct?? and your saying AISIN also as that was the original Fluid in the Cayenne transmission?
  12. OK so only issue is in UK we don’t seem to have the Esso JWS 3309 😞
  13. Hi Loren thats for Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo ive got the lowly Cayenne 3.2 V6 🙂 so is my ATF different??

SO - looking at doing ATF Fluid and filter change Porsche ATF Fluid is too costly when there’s others in the market - anyone have any experience and advice with the following when doing the ATF change: Meyle ATF III H 0140192300 Febi 101161 ATF Mobil ATF 3309 All meet the following specs - which would you recommend / use? Specifications and Manufacturer Approvals Audi G-055-025-A2 Ford WSS-M2C924-A Lexus JWS 3309/Type T-IV Porsche JWS 3309/Type T-IV Saturn GM9986195 Toyota JW 3309/Type T-IV Volkswagen G-055-025-A2
  15. Ok an update to this.... SOLVED Amazingly wasn’t sensors or earthing points - was simply a faulty Level Control Module! i had a spare module in the garage back in the UK so when I got back I swapped the units and tested for two days flat - no errors all working fine Funny thing is I actually had an error 0003 Control Unit Faulty at the very beginning - as stated right at the beginning of the thread lol - I shouldn’t listed to the **** code reader software!

Ok update : drop links on rear sway bar - right hand side much worse than left Local VW dealer ( as Porsche dealership over three hours away) diagnosed and showed me how lose they were and even more oddly will be using Meyle parts as not able to get hold of VW/Porsche parts in time strange things happen in Portugal but at least it wasn’t too serious and expensive lol

Just popped out for a meal to get a new issue with my Cayenne occasional hard knocks in rear like I’ve had a stone hit the car underneath and when I turn left I get a rubbing sound - comes from underneath the car like directly underneath drivers seat (UK Right hand drive) what the hell could this be now???

It doesn’t make sense cause when I first start the car I get voltage signals on those pins and can even see that in the diagnostic software - but give it anything from 30 seconds to 5 minutes it all of a sudden loses the voltages and goes to zero and the error comes up wjy on earth would it initially all be good and then for no apparent reason lose the power supply? Without the car even moving!! the ONLY thing that’s really changed is the weather temperature as here in portugal it’s easily 35 degrees each day whereas back in UK we’re lucky to get 20 degrees lol
  20. So plugged in VCDS and got a bit more info P00147 Supply Voltage for Acceleration Sensor Front Left / Rear Right 006 - short to Plus So where exactly is the ‘short’ I should be looking for and checking grounding?? anyone know?

Hi and thanks for your input and diagrams - I really appreciate it. sadly I just fathom this out 😞 ive checked under the passenger seat and find no brown earthing cable and certainly not a PDCC Control unit. I have the main battery and some fuses i checked the fuses and even put new ones in just in case and nada im kinda guessing the Level Control Unit that sits in the boot near the CD player controls the Body Acceleration Sensors ?? I could be wrong but my 2004 V6 3.2 doesn’t have PDCC - no button on the switches near the auto stick and as regards checking grounds I’m not sure which ones to check and where its frustrating and I just don’t know enough about this car 😞
  22. I’m not sure my 2004 3.2 V6 has PDCC?? I have air suspension but don’t see a PDCC button on the gear switches area???
  23. Awesome ill give this ago as regards battery I’m getting 14v continuously so can’t see it being battery related - but who knows these days lol
