  1. I noted that my aircon was making a bit of a noise a couple of weeks back, when I switched it off the noise stopped. I left it off a few days and when I switched it back on there was no sound at all, upon further inspection it looks like the compressor is not spinning, outer pulley is being driven but inner compressor drive is static. With the engine off the inner drive of the compressor can be spun smoothly by hand. I've checked the fuse is ok, does anyone have any ideas or is this description symptomatic of a compressor failure? Thanks Steve
