  1. I'm looking at a 2006 911S. 73,000 miles. Owner says the DME does not communicate properly but the car runs great and there are no engine lights. Should I be concerned?
  2. thanks for the help. I will check both and let you know what I find.
  3. I removed my passenger seat to have it reupholstered. Shortly after I noticed an airbag warning light. When reinstalling the seat the light remained on. I took my diagnostic meter and checked the fault. It said seat buckle issue. I cleared the fault but the light remains on. The seat belt works fine as well as the power seat back and heater. Tried to clear 2 more times but no luck. Any ideas?
  4. I replaced my stock exhaust system with a custom system but hated the drone. So I re-installed headers and cats, but when it came to the muffler I can't seem to get it up to the proper height. I didn't pay much attention when removing the system because I just didn't expect to be re-installing it. I've tried changing the 2 support rods in every position possible that I could see but no matter It leaves the outlet down about 11/2" from the bumper slot.
  5. Thank you for confirming what I thought to be true. Glad I learned for $600 and not $3000. Thank you.
  6. I bought on Ebay a used exhaust upgrade that I've seen on line for about $3000. The price was $600 delivered so I thought, great. After installing the system ( headers, catalytic converters, plus mufflers with 2 nice round tail pipes) I was very disappointed with the sound. At higher reves it sounds fine but at normal operation it's more like a bad muffler. I was going to re-install the he old boring muffler and header but I thought maybe someone out there may have a suggestion for a fix for the new system. This was installed on my 1997 Boxster. Thanks mike Lioce
  7. I thank you very much. Since I've already ordered the bolt I will put it in.
  8. I have a 1997 Base Boxster with 5 speed manual transmission. When removing the bolts I put them thru holes on a piece of cardboard on a clock face representing the back housing of the engine. When I reinstalled the transmission I used the 101 Boxster project book as a guide. On page 138 Fig4 it shows the bolt pattern and list the bolt sizes and locations. Instead of having the 8 bolts shown in the picture I only had 7. I did not loose any bolts because each place on the cardboard template had a bolt I removed. Bolts D&G in the 101 projects book are the same. So I assumed that a bolt was missing when I removed the transmission. So I ordered a new bolt for the 1 that was missing. I know I removed a bolt from the D location from the 101 Project book but after ordering the missing bolt G I'm wondering if the G bolt actually belongs in my 1997 Boxster with the 5 speed manual transmission.
