04 996 Dash lights

This right here. I replaced mine, as well as the steering lock and all of a sudden things started dinging and beeping and lights began to work again. Also may be worth looking at your light switch too. Those can literally break down into dust after years of use. Not too expense, nor hard to replace either. -

High mile role call

I rescued a 2002 C2 Cab from Florida with 102K miles on it and am currently restoring it on my YT channel. Luckily the engine was "maintained" but the body? Ugh... rust. At least I'm learning how to weld! -
Thermostat outlet hose

You shouldn't need lube on the connector end but it shouldn't hurt either. If it's still leaking, I'd check for fitment issues (OEM vs. AM) or debris interference. It's pretty straight forward so it might just be something obvious. Good luck! -

I know I'm late to the party on this one but I had the same problem. I used a flame wrench and a pickle fork. I did a 2-part video series on replacing the suspension on a C2 Cab. on my YT Channel. -

I've got the 996_USA_KATALOG and I don't see these parts anywhere in "Main Group B: Body". Are there any part numbers on it anywhere? I think you're onto something with its purpose. I'll keep looking. Got me stumped for sure.
