  1. Grateful for your reply. Located the booster and it is receiving power but am clueless if it is working. A new one cost $71 and that seems a bit pricey to test as the new one is non-returnable. But again, cheers and many thanks. Kim
  2. All, new to the Porsche fraternity with my purchase of a 2007 Boxster S. This topic has been discussed before but what I uncovered today is not something I've read in the forum. The issue is not new - replacing the original CDR 24 with an Alpine IXL W650 and getting lousy AM and poor FM reception. The installer did connect the blue wire from the Alpine (for the power antenna) to the white wire in the A module. I did detect 12V from the blue wire and 12V on the white wire. This led me to believing the issue must be with the booster. I removed the driver's side A pillar cover and what I found was a white wire running up from the dash into a plastic guide and terminating inside a foam cover. The cover disintegrated when I touched it. There was nothing that looked like a power booster. Is this normal? Was it removed? Did I open up the wrong pillar? Help is begged. Thanks, Kim
