That’s my fear but with Porsche PIWIS I should have the ability to do so. One thing to take into account is the automatic window roll down when the center lock is disengaged to put the top down. -

I’m aware in how to reset the windows. I have a custom built Spyder top and I need 2 inches of roll down to clear the door. The stock clearance is about an inch. On modern cars I can program this , this is older Thus I think I can get a aftermarket micro switch. -
I need to program the micro switch to roll down either window about 2” when engaging door handle from inside or outside. Since this is a 2001 model maybe it’s not possible to do this? Is there another micro switch I could buy that’s set to drop or raise window by 2 inches ? I know can do this very easily on a BMW product with ISTA P but I’m not too familiar with Porsche or VW group products.
