No, the trunk doesn't have that smell, or if it does, it's very very faint. What comes through the vents is considerably more noticeable.

I have a 2006 C4S Coupe that has about 2400 km on it, and since I got it a month ago there's a really acrid oil or grease smell that comes throught the air vents. I have noticed that is is worst when the heater is on. I took it to the dealer today, and they can find nothing wrong with it, and suggested that it could be excess undercoating (which they tried to reduce). They also replaced the charcoal filter and sprayed disinfectant into the A/C. Unfortunately it didn't work, the smell is still there. They figure that this is normal for a new car, and should subside over time. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal for a new 997? This is my first Porsche, but no other vehicle I have owned has ever done this. Any ideas would be welcome.
