  1. how much does using the pss9 make a difference? I'm thinking about it but i dont know if my 1800 can be spent in other places that are better. Such as getting a racing seat/harness set up. My car is Daily driver i use to Auto cross sometimes and goto a few trackdays a yr
  2. If im not mistaken most squeal is caused when the pad slides back and forth on the rails that hold the pad's "ears" or from the part that makes contact with the pistons. Usually more lube, which is something I didnt put enough on when I put the EBC red stuff pads. Glazing can also cause squeal however im sure that the cross drilled rotors prevent this.
  3. What was the HP gain on the sport exhaust for the 986?
  4. Thanks for the help, I ll take alook at front fender/bumper costs now....oh yea and lights
  5. berty987, my goal is not performance, as I stated above, it is sound. I dont wanto to spend more money (I already spent in the car, bought it cash, 20" techart wheels, coilovers, short shifter, got my headlights stolen twice, bought HIDs, etc), so now I just want to spend an extra 200 to have a better exhaust sound... hope this explains a little bit more my situation, with all that money I could've have bought a nice full exhaust, but I'm tired of spending thousands of dollar more into a car that is depreciating day after day, I know I have to pay to play, but maybe I could find cheaper ways to modify the existing exhaust instead of buying aftermarket. I'll keep you guys posted. Alan BTW how were your headlights stolen, just curious as it is something to think about
  6. Bought my 2005 987 used in august, however no problems yet....now to find out when it was made and hope it was after May, 2005.
  7. The 997 headlight configuration looks the same, with the crystal lens on top and the high beams on bottom. Unless you meant dimensions.
  8. Hey everyone i had a bit of :drive: over the weekend at a track day. I messed up the front bumper cover a lil bit. It has a slight bend under that fake center inlet which is pushing that inlet out. I'd like to try and fix it however I need to know how easy is it to remove the bumper cover? I saw a bunch of screws under it, any one have instructions? Also, since I may have to buy a replacement cover, does anyone know of any other models that fit, such as the 997-911 or 997 gt3? I know i saw a few pics of 996 gt3 bumpers on 986 boxsters....does that mean the 997 gt3 bumper will fit the 987? I'd appreciate any help! thanks
