Hello All, I’m new to this site having realised a lifetime’s ambition of becoming a Porsche owner and I’m now experiencing a little challenge with it, which is expected and I was hoping for some help please. So, the car is a 2002 996 turbo x50 tiptronic and it’s recently started a nasty grinding noise that comes from the front right hand side of the car when I accelerate. If I manually drop down a gear and the revs increase then the grinding stops. The grinding starts under both light and heavy acceleration. Has anyone experienced this before please and do you have any ideas on what the problem could be so that I can continue to attempt to convince my wife that’s it an investment and not a purchase. 😂 Thanks so much!
