  1. The beginning for this thread talks about this problem occuring when the top is up - has anyone also heard the click with the top down - is the strap even under tension with the top down? I have been chasing an intermittent click from the same area on the driver's side, with the top both up and down, for the last year with my dealer ('07 987S). Nothing the dealer has tried worked for more than a week. Having just now read this thread, I plan to try your remedy. Thanks, Fads
  2. Indeed, the speaker connection for the Bose speaker box is a tight fit. The connection comes unlatched by depressing the plastic latch on each side of the connection. There is so little room in the speaker box trap door that I have to get one side unlatched at a time and then pull the connection apart (eassier said than done - I usually get skinned fingers from the left side of the trap door opening). This is all done by feel since it is out of sight. Likewise, reconnecting is done by feel. However, once the coneection is lined up it is easier to push the connection home that it was to get it unlatched. It is the most tedious portion of accesing the engine.
  3. Matt, I just accomplished the same thing you are trying to do on my '07 987S. I wasn't able to completely get the carbon canister out (away from the bulkhead) even after removing the two screws (it stayed attached mysteriously at the top of the canister mount). However, after removing the two screws I was able to pull the canister far enough away from the bulkhead (about 1/2 inch) that I could fish my MP3 connection through the grommet -- it was a tight fit but doable. As for the rest of the install, I tapped into the power via the unused CD changer power plug that was taped to the carbon canister wires (behind the carpet) and tapped into the MOST ring where it plugs into the Bose amplifier. Cheers, Fads
  4. I went with the Speed Lingerie product that color matches my 987S. While it is probably the most expensive bra out there, it fit better than any bra I've used, didn't leave a mark on the car during a three week cross country trip and from a distance some casual observers didn't even realize I had a bra on the car until I told them -- the color match is excellent.
  5. Same here - great product. Thanks porschelibrarian. Cheers, Fads
