  1. I bought my C4S 2003 in Germany and drive it in UK. Since it is manual I prefere it LHD. Driving is not a problem AT ALL. UK is the worse place to buy a car pricewise (that is why i got mine on continent) BUT u ll have to pay tax on it (check import duties) + Insurance on LHD might be higher (none in my case as i insured it in Germany). Once u add all up you will still save 5-10k but is it worse the hassle? + if you are in london on foreign plates they will only give you residents parkin permit for 6 month and will not renew it (not a problem with undergroung parking but it will severly limit your choice of housing)
  2. this is one of the most (MOST) discussed topics with a simple answer "NO". Vent your frustration to Porshe but they don't read this forum. Sometimes I wonder if they even know that computers and mp3 exist. Called Dension a week ago, they said something is comming up in the next two months. but then again they said the same a year ago.
  3. I can do it myself, any ideas where to get a kit like this?
  4. Just spoke to a company in London "Auto Audio" which claims that for £225 they can install an AUX input for IPod/other into MOST system. According to them they have done it many times before and the input is being placed instead off CD changer!? Given the amount of frustration out there for a lack of AUX Input in MOST system I am somewhat sceptical. Any had any dealings/heard of them? Is CD changer and PCM linked by wires or by optical link?
  5. not exactly sure, i was looking at replacing the entire bootlit cover with a spoiler at C4S with one from Turbo with turbo spoiler
  6. Litronic Thank you Loren. too bad u r in US or i would ask for a suplier in UK for the parts
  7. looking for parts numbers and DIY instructuions on: front bumper left wing (plus plastic strip underneath) headlight assembly (i know how to change this so no DIY please :) 2003C4S P.S. if the headlight scratched up front do i still need to buy the entire assembley? thanks you
  8. 1. Maybe everyone has this sound but my P996C4S(2003) is the only P i have driven hence my question. At a low speed (10-20 km/h) when I disengage the engine (either by pushing clutch or rapidly taking foot off accelerator) there is a metallic click. Sounds like clutch noise but I am no expert. Took the car to the garage but they said it is OK (since this is the same P dealer which completely screwed up my PCM I have little trust in them). 2. once the car is moving it is noticeably more difficult to shift into the 1st gear. doesn't bother me much but is it normal?
  9. thanks everyone but i have PCM :( :( :( Porsche ssucks - how stupid do you have to be to employ open source component-based MOST and not to porvide AUX in do they ever read any of the forums?
  10. i just spoke to them, they claim they have nothing to do with Porsche and that I have to go through a dealer. do you know if Navtech soft made for other cars is compatible with porsche? because on the website there are no references to Porsche
  11. Anyone knows where to get updated nav CD for PCM (I need UK, my current CD says 08.2002)? I also saw some discussions about PCM software version. Does that need update as well???
