  1. i have a simple obd2 reader, came up w these two.

    based on my booklet:

    p1123- throttle positon sensor range but higher than expected

    p1125- throttle position sensor intermittent

    btw, its a 98 2.5 manual, only thing done to it engine wise was a Evo intake

    anyone have any suggestions? any help is appreciated in helping me fix this

    i am looking for different modifications on boxster muffler

    does anyone have a image of cut and modified exhaust ? i have a 2.5

    i was at first gonna do the mod where the 2 pipes are added to the side, but no shop around my are can handle smaller tubes for soem reason

    and lastly, i was also thining fo making a custom one with magnaflow mufflers and twin outlet tip, so if anyone has any experience with either or i would appreciate the help

  3. what did you guys use to clean it up?

    i installed a intake on my box the other day, and while i had the MAF out to trasfer into the new tubing, i whiped it off with a soft tissue, there was a lot of black stuff around there.

    with new intake, cleaned maf, and desanorkel, i absolutely love it

  4. i have a 98 2.5L that just hit 60k miles

    while i was cleaning the engine bay i foind some oil buildut kinda stuff around the J-tube(i have a picture back home, i will post that up when i get back). my Q is this, where is the best place to get the seperator and possible part number, also for the hose as well, and how hard is this to DIY (i saw the writeup for a carrera but no boxster).

    if i am correct i shoul dbe getting a lot of smoke, but none so far, i just wanna tackle this before it actually goes bad, and since i saw some trouble on surface i think it may be going bad soon, correct?

    i found on this site one for $81. does that sound too cheap? anyone have any experience with this distributor?

  5. i did all 4 calipers in about 2 hrs, i think i did 2-3 coats per caliper.

    so its not like you will be wasting your whole day to do it.

    So you painted them with 2-3 coats, did one side at a time I'm guessing with a jack. You left 20 mins between coats tops and put the stickers on kinda wet and put the wheel on to cure with heat and time. So 60 mins total per side wheel off three coats, stickers wheels back on kinda thing.. Hmmm... I have a heat gun too, could help with drying time...

    What did you use to paint? VHT Caliper paint and paint it on or somehting you brushed on? In the past I used VHT caliper paint sprayed it into the cap, and brushed it on, works great. But never turned out glossy...

    i used caliper painting kit from Murrays (also found at autozone), its the brush-on kit.

    the way that i did them was lifeted the front on both sides, painted one coat on one wheel, and then went onto the other side, cleaned up and put one coat on that side, then went back to the side i started and pu another color. waited few mins and put another coat on other side. then i did the same thing to the rear calipers. they turned out great, i did a few cars with came can of paint, and still have a lot left. when i first saw the can i tought it wont be enough for one car, but i did a few cars with 2 coats per caliper in all cars.

    i painted my calipers before the decals showed up, so then when they did show up i just took one wheel off at the time and applied the decal.

  6. while i was cleaning the engine bay (waiting for zaino to dry) i noticed some oil buildup.

    what and how much would it cost to solve this before more things go bad? and any links to DIY if there is one of any relevance to this.

    a;sp how can i check if its just the hose or if its the unit itself?

  7. yea, get them at xenonmods.

    i used the brush on application one, no clear coat, i had it on couple of cars and so far no chipping or flaking off, and also if you were to get some chips its easy to touch it up.

    heres a pic b4 and after (calipers painted, decals, centercaps handpainted, and new lugnuts)
