  1. Does anyone know the factory spec for the fuel sending unit empty/full resistance values for 2008 Cayman S?
  2. 2012 Cayman R with PDK. I purchased car this June as Porsche Certified PreOwned. Some 23,000 miles odometer. My understanding is that all Cayman R came with LSD. Could a worn LSD be the issue?
  3. Cayman R experiencing intermittent bucking or lurching in sport plus mode on the track on accelerator application. Occurs at high revs (over 6000, with revs bouncing up and down) as though it is expecting to shift up but doesn't. P1990 error code in PDK section (unable to apply torque). Dealers states software latest version, has no recomendations for fix. Suggestions?
  4. So do you think I can simply put the 981S front rotor on the 981 without problem (except pad change)?
  5. I know rotor size is different, both calipers 4 piston (one black versus red) but any other difference? As an aside, are wheel carriers the same? Looking at putting 981S rotor/pads onto 981.
  6. Removing tap did not make any difference. As Richard posted, Tap is to CAN Drive (yellow/white (high) and black/white (low) wires) while Door control units are CAN Comfort (yellow (high) and black (low) wires). I believe that water temperature can be recorded, but that in the Cayman the oil pressure unit is an "idiot unit" that only sends a signal below a certain pressure to activate the instrument panel warning. There is an article on caymanregister.org on replacing the oil pressure unit with a 997 unit and installing a separate gauge. I installed an AIM pressure unit to monitor oil pressure.
  7. Cayman S 2008. Installed MLX Pista with ECU CAN Bus tap. Pista displays RPM fine, but now windows and mirrors both driver and passenger door inoperable, and Durametric states no communication to either door control unit. Window fuses OK. Suggestions?
  8. I also found that I could not download parts catalogue from Porsche site
  9. Does anyone know where to get the tool to remove the shear nuts holding the airbag control module on a 1998 986?
  10. Although I am still interested in the answer, search on this site revealed that the problem could be rusting of the rear linkage. A lot of WD40 to the linkage and the shifter centers perfectly.
  11. 1998 Boxster (Canada) 5 speed (with 3.4 swap). Shifter will not center, but is loose with cable removed. Suspect resistance in cable and planning to replace. PET indicates different part numbers for before and after 98VSE6 23306. What does this number refer to? Or should I just get the last mod (986 424 041 10)?
  12. Hi Loren; May I please have the radio code for: 98 Boxster Becker CDR-210 R3297 S/N: W5021220 Thanks, Igor
  13. Hi Loren; Becker CDR-210 R3297 S/N: W5021220 Thanks, Igor
  14. Knowing that 5 point harnesses should be replaced every 5 years, I decided to put new seat belts in my 1998 Boxster 2.5 which I take to DE events. The driver's seatbelt uptake also jams from time to time, which is also aiding my decision. My question is whether I can use the seat belt part for model years 02-, which for some reason is less expensive than for models years -01.
