  1. Sorry to introduce yet another radio-related post, but this one's important: it's about me. :) It turns out I have a replacement CDR-220 in my '99 C2 Tip, so the dealer-provided code did not work. I pulled the radio this morning and got: CDR-220 Model: BE4462 Serial: X5012718 EC: 108 I don't know what of that is relevant, but if anyone can provide a suggested radio code, I'd be grateful. (I was stuck in traffic yesterday and had to sing to myself. I'm a lousy singer.) Thanks, CP
  2. Thanks, that was very helpful. Looks like more time in the driver's seat for me. (Darn, that's a severe punishment: I have to drive my Porsche.)
  3. I got "WAIT" 48 hours ago. Dealer gave me correct code today (I hope), but it's still on WAIT. That's 48 hours, during which the car was running for about 6-8. Does anyone know whether it's time or time-during-which-the-radio-is-on ? CP
  4. Thanks, Loren. And thanks for putting the photos in the post itself; that was a big help, and very thoughtful. Others have reported seeing it before, and someone posted a similar photo at Rennlist. I am comfortable that it was not used for accident repair. It must be to keep out noise or -yikes- water. CP
  5. I changed a headlight bulb today, and noticed for the first time this tan, dried gunky stuff spread around the inside metalwork in the nose of my car. Anyone know what it is or why it's there? Looks like some kind of sealant: It's a '99 C2 Cab in arctic silver. (Cross-posted from Rennlist; sorry, but looking for eyeballs.)
