  1. Thanks for the input. The selling dealer (the one who made the error and is responsible for correcting it) has told me it asked all its experts and found it is not possible to retrofit a 2003 996, as the headlight assemblies were changed in 2002 and the retrofit kits are only available for 1999-2001 models. My local dealer queried the Porsche TechLine, which states it can be done. I love my car (my first Porsche!!) and look forward to getting this finally taken care of. Any other advice? Thanks again. Chris
  2. All- I have read the posts regarding retrofitting Litronic lights into a 2003 996, but am still confused. Perhaps I am just missing something. I purchased a 2003 Carrera 2 this year from a Porsche dealer. Long story. They are willing to retrofit Litronic lamps into my vehicle at their expense, but my question is, can this be done? Even by a dealer using Porsche techs and OEM equipment? (1) Do you just remove the whole headlight assembly and replace it with a Litronic headlight assembly, add a control unit, and voila? (2) Do you keep the headlight assembly, and just change out specific components? (3) It does not appear to be possible to retrofit to auto-leveling feature (any more than you can retrofit PSM) as sensors need to be run to the wheels. Is this correct? Remember, money is no option, as the dealer is picking up the cost. Thanks.
