  1. I am not concerned about the pressures, but the minor jiggling or moving slightly up and down at a given RPM that bothers me. It usually goes up or down as RPM changes, smoothly, and remains stationary as the RPM is constant. It' jumps up slightly and then back erraticaly. Thoughts? Duke
  2. Have a 2004,C2,six speed,15,000 miles, using Mobil 1,0-40 synthetic oil. I am noticing that the oil pressure gauge fluctuates up and down, never much,it doesn't go low,or too high,it just stays put or jumps around a very little bit,so the pressure seems to be ok. 4-5 bar at 3000-5000 RPM,1 1/2-2 at low, idle RPM. Should I be looking for trouble here or is this reasonable? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Duke
  3. Hi Everyone. Have a 2002 C2,very low mileage that has developed a creak in the rear suspension (?) when going over small bumps. Very annoying. What do ya think? Duke
  4. question: am using trickle-float charger on C2 thru the lighter socket. Will the same charger-socket setup work for other late model cars,ie:BMW,Acura? Are they set up to be charged thru the socket the same way? Appreciate answers from Loren and all.
  5. Hello to All: Just purchased a beautiful, low mileage 2002 996 C2. I don't want to open a can of worms, but I have done my homework diligently searching the archives for option info. My car seems to be heavily optioned (good) and I had a dealer run a "cardex" with Porsche N.A. listing all it's options. Most I know and have matched up,some are not on the trunklid card, some are not listed in either place. Maybe some of the stuff came in option groups. There is one thing it says is there that I don't seem to have: P04: sport package 6-speed plus PASM I'd love to have it,but I don't see any switches for PASM. If P04 is what it says it is,could I have it and not know it? I don't want to bore anyone with a list of what matches, but this stands out in the "no gots". P.S. It says it has 476- Porsche Stability Mgt. also. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks,Duke
  6. I was wondering if there is a book or books comparable to Adrian Streather"s "Porsche 993,The Essential Companion" for the 996? Something more than most of the coffee table books out there. I appreciate your replies. Duke
