  1. Does anyone have any idea how to hardwire in the Valentine One into the 2012 CS?
  2. Ok, so i went ahead and changed the brake booster, followed the instructions (very helpful) on removing the old brake booster, I started up the car went for a quick run and everything seemed great, then after I parked the car and re-started to go on another little run down the road the breaks would not disengage, i limped it back to the garage, by the time i pulled in, the brakes got so tight i could barely move it forward enough to get in the garage. What could cause the brakes not to disengage at all? It was hard to get the master cylinder out, however, we notice no kinks or breaks in the lines, vacuum still works great, the after market booster seemed to have a shorter thread, but that did not effect the brakes once everything was pulled back, the brake fluid overflow did come out of the resivoir, but we put back in and it holds fine. Putting in the new brake booster appeared to be fine, it took a lot of work to get it in there, and put the master cylinder back into place. so I am confused. Bleeding would only be if i did not get enough pressure correct? The brake booster was filled with water so that explains that, any thoughts folks? I would hate to have Porsche do a house call and pay big bucks for something i should be able to correct. Any thoughts?
  3. I have a 2012 Cayenne S on order, Black on Black, with the 21" Turbo 2 wheels. Very excited, even though i am saying goodbye to my 99 996. Here is my question. I have been trying to find ALL Season tires for these wheels and they do not exist. A common topic on some of the other sites as well. There are some replicas of the Turbo 2 Wheels in a 20" where you can find 20" All Season tires, but these are by wheel manufacterers on Ebay I do not recognize. What would you advise? I can tell the dealer to put on OEM's that will not cost me anything extra on the Cayenne and save about $5500 and buy a wheel with a look i like as much as the Turbo 2 OEM WHeels, or do I keep the Turbo Type 2 OEM, and get a set of WInter WHeels and Tires, and are there aftermarket wheels I need to stay away from?
  4. Is there a DIY Document on replacement of the Brake Booster on 99 996 (part # 996 355 92 00)?
  5. Well I have finally decided if I need to trade out the 911 because the family grew and I need something I will enjoy I am going to replace it with a very loaded 2012 Cayenne S. Black on Black, with everything blacked out, Pu3 and all the initial toys. Sports Exhaust, Turbo 2 Wheels, PASM with adjustment, Heated and Vented seats, paddles, this is my second Cayenne S. I have a small window of opportunity to add/subtract from the order. My main questions Roof Rails? I know they are only factory order now, is it worth the 1k? Back n forth on if I will use them. Anyone else have 2 kids and a Cayenne? Trailer Hitch ? Is the new one a class 3 hitch you can put other things other than a trailer on, i am confused on the w/o removeable ball joint Still slightly torn on interior - right now I have black, thinking of adding aluminum, or anthracite. 4 zone air? is it worth it? Dealer advised on it, again another 1k and I am already far up there. Any and all advice welcome.
  6. Bill et al, Great well thought out advice. Thanks so much for taking the time. Joe
  7. This is some great advice that I do not take lightly, so there really is no difference in snow or rain with a c4s over the c2s?
  8. Ok guys, here is my quandry. I am trying to decide between a 2006 C4S in Atlas Grey, Tiptronic, Sports Chrono, Nav, Which looks ok, but I would want to modify with a different set of Rims, possible facelift with AeroKit, PSE 48k miles with CPO. or 2007 C2S (also CPO) Manual has the Aerokit, has the nice RIMS, still does not have PSE. I intend to use the car year round, yes even in the snow, however, I am told the difference with a C2 and C4 with Snow Tires would be negligible. So - is the C4S a year older has the additional 10k more in miles over the C2, worth the AWD? Any advice would be appreciated. I currently own a 99 C2.
  9. Does anyone know of a Clear Bra installing in the Kansas City area besides Aritocrat Motors? What should i expect to pay?
  10. I was on to let me know i needed to change the brakes, I replaced out the pads, and one of the sensors. It must be the other sensor i did not replace. I also changed the Oil and the computer is saying i need to do that again as well. Does Porsche need to clear that or can i reset it for the oil change as well? Sorry for all the questions.
  11. Did you replace any sensors that were worn through? Would it clear if the Brake pad sensor was good. I might have had one bad sensor.
  12. How do you clear the "Brake Pad work shop" warning after completing the brake job?
  13. Thanks Alex, I think that may solve the looseness, but i was looking for something of an extension so my belkin IPOD unit goes further in. I thought i saw it on a web site, but cannot find it. This was longer then the existing. more of a power outlet then cigarette lighter.
  14. I once came across a slightly longer cigarette lighter outlet, or power outlet replacement for the standard cigarette lighter port. Does anyone know where I can get it? I would like to plug in an IPOD FM unit that wont fall out.
  15. Thanks- the wing is Techart, I didn't really like the oem spoiler for the cab that much, and some of the other aftermarket wings were too agressive or big for my taste. I found this one already painted black and mounted with the whole rear decklid from Suncoast Porsche in Fla. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> can you put up a rear shot of the wind and any contact info for who you got it through, i have been trying to find a good wing with the same thoughts as you. Her you go... sorry for the delay. AG, Can you get a direct rear shot and do you have the model wing that is? I really appreciate it.
  16. I would contact ebay based on Dell's remarks also they should investigate this funny business, being an EBAY seller myself these demands he is making are simply unreasonable. That can be really frustrating.

  18. What are the tail light part numbers for clear tail lights on a 99 996
  19. Yes I just bought them recently from a 6speed member. They were already painted black, just had to get the mounting hardware from the local porche dealer. I was pretty close to just buying them from Suncoast or Brandywine, but came across a deal. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> here here, can you send some more shots of that wing, what kind is it? where did you get it? Very cool
  20. Nope - Did not check those, do you have any information on the ground straps? Joe
