Hey Everyone,
1999 996 C2 Cab
Does anyone have a picture or diagram for installing a new clam shell motor - comes with an update kit with new mount bracket etc.
Looks like the old piece needs to cut off and the new section fitted and bolted/welded.
Cheers.
-
a quick google search bring up this.. which i have successfully installed before for someone.
http://www.vertexauto.com/cayenne-drive-shaft-repair-clamping-support-mount-p-10391.aspx
i'm pretty sure porsche does not sell the support bearing only a complete shaft, hence the aftermarket solution.
cheers

Update - we ran a tranny calibration with the pwiz and ended up clearing the faults with an aftermarket scanner...
For whatever reason the faults would not clear with the P Scanner.
Test drive and Faults have not returned yet....
-
So I have a PDK fault that wont clear, p18C0 <-- havent seen this one before and cant pull up any info.
Resulting in no sport mode, psm faults and corresponding dme fault.
As always any input is appreciated.
Cheers!

So the "Pressure Sensor" is bolted to the inside of the inner door panel of the drivers door.
the vehicle had a broken wire in the door jamb - causing the intermittent fault - the wire was repaired and the sensor was still replaced for good measure since the door was all apart.
cheers

I think More importantly im looking to find out if this is for the igniter in the seat or the impact sensor on the floor pan?
the fault was pulled with a Piwis Tester II and im not familiar with the "pressure sensor" wording
thanks!

Hi All,

Thanks kindly!

i recently fixed this issue on a gen 1 boxster by recoding the module.
everything was coded except for the country. selected USA and viola rear trunk release started working via remote.
piwis was used

up here where we get frost it is far more noticeable because the wheels get to slip on the pavement - even the cayenne shudders at full lock etc.
geometry limitations imho
-
Thank you. In my situation the sensor was lying on the block - most likely getting to much heat.
Cheers

Can anyone help identify the Engine Compartment Fan Temp Sensor Location on the Twin Turbo?
It must be a little more hidden than on the NA cars.
Thanks.

Thank you

the o2's have 4 wires, the heater circut is the 2 white wires. you can verify the vehicle side has voltage and verify the o2 sensor has resistace on the heater circut.
cat efficiency fault is often the cat itself.
hope this helps

a quick search pulls up the following....
P0430 Toyota - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2
What is your faults description? model toyota??In my experience the cat is actually commonly the problem with these faults.

2006 Cayenne Fuelpump doesnt work
in 9YA (Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne S Hybrid)
Posted
If you ran the car out of fuel, the pump may be bad now. this is pretty common.
Checking for fuel pump power with just the ignition on will not give you what you want. You have to check wiring diagram if your not getting power. Usually the DME commands the fuel pump to turn on but again will have to check this. for xample some model run the pump when you open the door to prime the system before starting etc. during key on situation the pump will usually not run. it would be better to check while cranking.
hope this helps
