  1. I just started getting the bad smoke on startup also. Mine is an 02 996 with 48k miles. What should I do???? Thanks.
  2. What type of pneumatic impact wrench? I have run into similar confusing scenarios with lugs on 1 ton truck wheels. I had to pony up for the high dollar pneumatic (like $300 or so) to get anything to work. Even though the expensive 1 claimed to have the same lbft capacity as the cheap 1, it broke the lugs loose 1st try. I think the way the manufacturers rate their max torque is kinda arbitrary (not unlike how a Wal Mart car amplifier will claim to have 1000 watts, yet produce far less power than a 150 watt high end amp). Just my 2 cents....
  3. Sweet car. I just got an 02 Targa and am real happy with it. It's got a lot of options I guess with the best being the surprisingly good Bose system. I paid 39,500 without doing much research. Is this comparable to what you guys paid? My buddy is convinced I overpaid. Thanks and congrats on the nice car.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I actually was referring to the whole intake. I think they call it the Procharger Kit. I got it from Vivid Racing for like $260.
  5. I just bought an 02 Targa and also got a K & N Intake for it. I did a search and noticed that some members have had problems with the intake causing CEL's and driveablity issues. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. I have yet to install it and will not if the responses are negative. Specifically... Does it make a noticeable performance gain? Did it cause you to trip CEL codes, and if so after how many miles? Did it negatively effect driveability? Thanks so much in advance.
