  1. Hi MRboxhead here is a link to some photos post a few years back. there are three pages showing how to change the cayman vents to the boxster . when you purchase the kit just have a body shop match the paint of your car. I had them do that with mine. as far as were to get the kit there must be someone in the UK carrying the kit. Mystery of the 987 Side Vent Removal - RennTech.org Forums good luck
  2. Hi everyone, I have a 2007 boxster. I was removing my PCM to install my Dension gateway 500 and ended up scratching the silver face plate on the lower switch panel. Is there a touch up paint for this or does the face plate for the lower switches have to be changed. If there is a touch up paint were can I find it and if not were can I get a face plate replacement. By the way the Dension Gateway works excellent I am awaiting the BTA 1500 bluetooth for hands free. secuuda
  3. Hi do the manuals include pictures of the wiring harneses of the back of the pcm. secuuda
  4. Hi who is the porsche librarian and how can I contact him as I would like a work manual for my 2007 Boxster. regards secuuda
  5. Thanks bert987 I don't Have the Cd changer sitting on the dvd navigation drive. I gues just a single dvd player unit with the pcm and stereo unit. Can I loop the most directly with the dvd navigation drive in the truck or do I go directly in to the back of pcm and then loop to the dvd nav. unit. I have noticed in the intallation guide for both of thoses units they don't show the dvd nav. drive just cd changers. secuuda
  6. Hi Friends, I have been contemplating adding a bluetooth and Ipod adapter for my 2007 Boxster with pcm. The telephone module is to outrageously priced at 1500. so I have researched Nave TV Tooki, Dension gateway 500, and Mobridge all about the same price give or take a few dollars. So out of all three which product has the least amount of problems and works the best with my pcm. I have looked at the installation on all three but not sure of the route the MOST cable takes. I have the pcm cd player for the 2.1 software in the front trunk. On the installation does the Most hook up to the cd player in the front truck for my pcm as well or bypass the unit and go directly to the main PCM and stereo player. Warren
  7. Hi I installed a new MTX rfl 200 comes on when you turn on the radio with low voltage this is the only amp to do that. place in the front trunk with velcro sticks excellent, sits on top of the cover for the tools and such near the bottom below the car amp. I will send you a picture if you would like. secuuda
  8. Hi Friends, Has any one removed the roll bar from a 2005 and up on the Boxster. I am looking for some pictures and instruction to remove the roll bar and the leather parts without damaging them. I am going to have my 2007 roll bar painted the exterior color hope some one can help with this project. regards secuuda
  9. Thanks Berty987 , I do have the sound package plus so I guess I will stick with that. Porsche never makes it easy do they. secuuda
  10. Hello every one I have the sound package seven speaker sound system in my 2007 with the PCM and have added the rear speakers, does any one know what has to be done to upgrade to the Bose surround sound system. Is it merely adding the Bose amplifier to the system or what else has to be done. Is the radio the same as the sound package or a diffent radio all togther. If any one has done the change over I would like to hear from them. Secuuda
  11. Hi everyone just got back and noticed the topic. Well I purchased my speakers from Euro Motorspeed as well and that is my 07 boxster on ebay. it was pretty easy to install only took me a about 2hrs after I assembled the speakers into the storage unit. the amp in your picture is exactly like mine but I also have PCM, what I did was get some 4 wire for that type of car install from one of the stereo installers for about 10. bucks and ran it through the fire wall on the driver side were there is a rubber gromet and made a small hole and ran the wire through and sealed it up. there are actually a few rubber gromets through out the fire wall. I added the MTX rfl amp and hooked the wires to the amp which I placed inside the trunk in front of the excisting amp with velcro works great and let the stereo installer do the final hook up to the door speakers. He hooked into the wiring out of the large plug on the main amp you see in your picture. and it was done. I hope that helps if you have any questions give me a reply and I will be more than happy to help you through install. By the way the MTX RFL 200 cost 139. it comes on only when the radio is turned on and shuts down automatically when you turn off the radio. Warren
  12. I would like to know if there is a part # for the white gauge face for the my 2007 987 Boxster tiptronic s and where I might be able to purchase the set new or used. I have black faces now but want to change them. secuuda
  13. Hi I have install the speaker system from Euro Motorspeed, "Great people to do business with " on my 2007 Boxster and it does not hamper the storage box and it does not go through or connect to the MOST on the amp. you have to use a small amp for powering the rear speakers I used an MTX amp that switches on automatically when I turn on the stereo this amp is the only amp that does that. it uses low power. The wireing from the amp connects to the wireing going to the speakers in the doors and thats it that all you do. It take a couple of hrs to install the speakers in the storage box the amp and run the wireing. when I was done, I took it to one of the stereo installation guy and it cost me $60. dollars for them to do the final connections to the wireing, well worth the money. All in all in final cost when finished about $315. total. great sound and well worth it. secuuda
  14. I saw those on Ebay as well. He had them on for $1299. from what I can tell he sold 1 set of 8. I made him an offer of $500 and he counter offered at $849. It does't look like he has sold to many sets and now he has them at $2199. I think he is trying to play that old game of higher price will sell. I have a 2007 Boxster and according to the seller they will fit. I must say they do intrigue me ,but not at that price, even at $1299. I would take a chance at $500 as these wheels are not proven at this time and no one as ever heard of them. secuuda
  15. Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone has seen or heard of a Cayman spoiler for the 987 Boxster yet. I did hear that Zeintec was going to produce a cayman spoiler for the newer Boxster 2005 + but have not seen it as yet. Also Farnbracher Loles was going to produce a carbon fiber one similar to the one they produce for the Cayman, but the company that was to manufacture them scoffed off with the cash and no product. Does Any buddy know of any other company that is or will be producing one. I dont want to go through the whole ordeal of changing the rear bumper and repainting and all that so I am hoping there is another company that has finally come up with a kit. Its been like three years now and there should be some one out there any one.. regards secuuda
