  1. How do those Fabspeed mufflers sound? why didn't you like them? Roy
  2. I have the Contis on my 997 (19") and found them to be a very good tire, they are quite, ride nice, and stick well in hard turns. I had pilot sports on my 996 and I like the Contis better. the new generation sport contact 2 seems to be improved over earlier models.
  3. Great book, It lists all the changes of the 997 over the 996, you'll be surprised.
  4. The stock 997 shifter throw is 15% shorter than the stock 996, if you order the short shifter on a 997 (20% shorter) it would be 35% shorter than a stock 996. The new trans and shifter in the 997 is so smooth and effortless, i deceided not to install the optional short shifter.
  5. Loren, do you have DIY instructions for replacing the driver side seat belt receptacle? seats are memory, power lumbar, no heat. Thanks Roy
  6. After not working for a month , the seat belt warning light and gong began to work today, still a mystery, but I'am not complaining. At least I know it's not the bulb, I suspect the connection or ground on the seat belt recepticle. Roy
  7. How about the steering wheel lock, try moving the steering wheel slightly lef t and right while trying to start.
  8. I have the Fabspeed cold air kit , also a K&N filter, Don't notice any power increase, but it sure sounds good inside the car, low and high RPM.
  9. Installed Fabspeed cold air kit, $224.00, and K&N filter, 75.00, can't notice power improvement but sound is great low and high RPM,
  10. Cars with memory seats, turn ignition on, put shifter in reverse, push M and 1 at the same time, mirror will move down, take shifter out of reverse, mirror will return, now it's programmed.
  11. Loren, Thanks for your help I'll have the dealer trace it, still under warranty Roy
  12. Thanks for the info, car has never had any electrical hacking, what about the switch in the seat belt receptacle? could that be bad? I've also been told that the ground contact from the seat frame to the body may be poor. What do you think? Thanks, Roy
  13. Seat belt warning light on dash not lit when ignition turned on, also air bag light comes on for only 4 or 5 secoconds then goes out (ignition on , car not started), with car running and seat belt not latched ...no gong. any thoughts? 02C2 Thanks in advance, Roy
