  1. Jonas I do not think there is a Sirus Box compatable with the Porsche Head unit (could be wrong, keep searching) For my Sirius installation I bought the Blaupunkt cable, and mounted a Stilleto car dock. I didnt go the route of keeping the cd changer, I suppose it would be possible to switch back and forth with either a multi pole switch or a relay. Larry
  2. Thx for the help with the how to's. This is a great place to hang out
  3. Thank you, Loren. Ife: I had the same symptoms, I cleaned it and now I'm a believer! Do you need to take the throttle body out to do a good job. I tried to clean it in the car, but it is pretty hard to get at all the surfaces. didnt seem to change anything. If you do need to take out the throttle body, where do you get the wrench for that wierd fastener (anybody know what that bolt head is called ??). Thx
  4. Loren Thanks for all the input, but to clarify. The original question was bad idle after cold start. Once the engine is warmed up, it idles fine. Is this the symptom you see when in need of cleaning ??
  5. If this is a new problem, I would check my tire pressure. 35 and 40 series tires can be pretty low on air before they have any visible sign. But they sure will drive like crap.
  6. Hi All I too have one of these plastic stalks broken. I cannot believe Porsche does not sell them seperately. I too was going to go the e-bay route, and buy a broken cluster to harvest one of these. Anyone have any idea where to get one for less than the cost of a used instrument cluster. Thanks in advance
  7. One more possible solution for you to consider: I have bought 2 complete instrument clusters on ebay .... ranging in price from $20 to $30. In each case, they were accurately described as being non-functioning and/or non-guaranteed. However, a little tinkering turned them into really cool night lights / wall clocks for my grandsons' rooms. Both came with the knobs & stems under discussion here. Kim 2000 Cab Kim, do you still have any of the stems in question. I need one. Thx, Larry
